Last week, Carson didn't get any touches after half. Carroll said he was "gassed" from his special teams snaps. This week's game isn't done yet, but Carson has 23 carries for 81 yards and a TD, Penny 3 for 5 yards.

They have no idea what they're doing.

Cowboys have a very solid run defense.

Yeah - Carson did not so much win it as much as Penny lost it today.

That said - it still was not pretty and I still would not start any Seahawks RB with anything resembling confidence.

I don't agree with that at all. Carson ran powerfully and decisively all game long, breaking tackles and moving the piles. The line sucks and I'd have no confidence starting him, but I don't think it's fair to downgrade his performance. He's been a good running back, time to admit as much.

I took Penny at 1.5 in a draft this past off season. I tried trading that pick at but couldn't. I wasn't confident about that pick at the time, but talked myself into it due to how high he was drafted by the Hawks. I figured they must know something I don't.

Should have went with my gut. Still early of course, but man he looks bad.

I also made this mistake in one league. He fell all the way to 1.09 in a SF, and I couldn't say no. I'm hopeful he can still carve out a role.

I've got Penny in three leagues, I keep trying to remind myself that Mark Ingram had a really slow start to his career too.

Some will point to the "it took 32 carries" nature of the yardage. I saw him making extra yards when there was no hole, looking fast, running aggressive and finishing runs, pushing the pile. Coaches have the saying "making chicken salad out of chicken s***" and he did a lot of that getting 3 or 4 yards when he was getting contact at the line.

Also, to know a back can hold up with that style for 32 carries is not worth nothing. That bruising wears down a defense, it was always talked about with AP and Lynch, with that style later in the game when they're wearing out they don't want to tackle you anymore and you start to see bigger gains break. Solidifies him as the guy to the point I am considering dropping Penny as a handcuff in redraft (but prospect of injury is keeping me holding him).

Like I said before, a healthy season of this and no question he moves up into the top 15-20 rankings of dynasty backs. At some point his youth and production has to rank, but that will require him to avoid major injury this year.
Remember where you are - this is Thunderdome.
