D'Ontae Foreman vs Lamar Miller

Curious why everyone is so low on lamar miller and so high on foreman? I understand foreman was starting to get utilized last year before the injury but foreman ruptured his achillies. I dont see foreman being a threat to miller anymore after that injury and im not sure why everyone is so low on miller. lamar miller has been a high end rb2 the last 4 years on really bad teams. he finally is on a high octane offense and I think he has another really solid season ahead of him. I think expectations were a little too high for miller to begin with but I just dont see foreman being a threat to take his job. would love to hear some explanations for why they think foreman will take millers job when I dont think he will ever fully recover from this injury as an nfl rb.

Foreman was routinely getting 10+ carries a game and doing more with them than Miller was. If healthy, Miller owners would have a lot to be concerned about. As nearly everyone has stated though, it looks bleak for Foreman in 2018 due to his injury. I don't see this hype you're seeing.

i dont see any hype my self. others have written off lamar miller due to the presence of foreman. if u dont see that ur blind to the fact that many wont touch lamar miller simply because he is going to "lose his job" to foreman.

Lol theres 3 factors to consider.

1 Miller is average at best.

2 Miller would have been cut if not for Foremans injury. Pretty established.

3 Will Foreman return, if ever, to form?

I would rather swing and miss on Foreman than have a bunt on Miller. Miller will never win or be a major contributor in a title run.

Miller couldn't even hold off Alfred Blue down the stretch last year. Whether it's Foreman or not, there is plenty of reason to be concerned for Miller.

This has been a topic of conversation in many threads over this off season and this one isn't going to accomplish anything more than the others already have. It is very divided into 2 camps. I'd advise anyone to take a look at actual statistics and usage rather than just throw out their opinions of who they believe was better "on film"...

i think hes a safe play tho if you have a guy like gurley zeke bell dj at rb1 to have miller at rb2/flex

Again, where are you getting this from? Last year, sure. This year I can't recall seeing anyone say that.

Miller has a safe rb2 floor this year, especially with Watson healthy. Doubtful he's in Houston next year, but there's no other real threats this season after Foreman's injury.
