Ranking my top-50 RBs in dynasty (Let's assume in a PPR startup)

Is Mixon above Kamara/Gordon/Hunt/Fournette just a personal preference thing? That seems aggressively high when comparing the production differences of those names

I would rather own Mixon than those players. He's a much better RB, in my opinion. Granted, I would be as savvy as possible in a startup and so I wouldn't take Mixon in the 1st round most likely, but I would trade down just enough to still snag him and pick up assets.

Love the way you did the list - would probably move some guys around as well but that is why we play this game.

On your opinion though I had a question. For my team one I have the 1.3 and 1.4 this year and will use them on RB unless I can trade for a RB or two. Where would you draw a line for the 1.3 and the 1.4 on you list?

I see very little separation between 1.3 and 1.4. Totally personal preference.

If you wanna go Chubb and then Michel, or Michel and then Penny, or even one of them and then you go RoJo or Kerryon, I won't be mad at you.

The only thing I'll say is that if Guice is there at 3, make sure you do NOT pass him up.

He could well be in there from 45-50 and on, along with Demarco Murray, Gallman, Darkwa, Ballage, Theo Riddick, Abdullah, AP etc. There's a list of "unwashed masses" that are more or less interchangeable for me.

I agree on the rookies but my question was according to your list where would you draw the 1.3 and 1.4 line as far as making trade offers as well as what rookies may be available?

I personally think he's better all around than White and is a better play breaker than Riddick, but if you believe he's the same value/production wise, then he seems a sell.

respect the work put in to this but im a simple guy, i see mixon ahead of guys like fournette, kamara, hunt and i stop reading there. i've not been a fan of mixon and know some love him but to put him over those 3 guys is lunacy imo

I'm not going to try to dissect the entire list, just noting that you are far too low on Hunt. Best RB from last year's class, imo. (And too high on Mixon - I don't see how he can be considered the top one from last season...). Too low on Howard as well. Way too high on Ajayi - ahead of Howard?!?!??? Some other issues in here too but sometimes there is a little too much nitpicking. These were just the glaring ones.

In response to you, Skip, and knotts:

My view on Mixon is based purely on how good his film was, and then projecting his dynasty production going forward. His tape last year was simply the best of any RB in last year's rookie class - IMHO of course. And I watched a LOT of tape.

Regarding Ajayi, if I was ranking RBs only on their on-field ability and not considering anything between the ears or locker room smoke-n-fire, Ajayi would be top 12 easily. His size, speed, power, and lateral agility puts him in a class with only VERY few backs since AP in his prime. I mean that with no hot takery intended. But with Ajayi, there certainly is smoke and so I must assume there is very real fire somewhere. That's the only reason he's that low for me.

With Jordan Howard, I do not see a special back Skip. I don't see a back who will get paid big bucks on the open market, and definitely won't be re-signed by a re-tooling regime. And for now, I have no reason not to expect an Alf Morris type decline going forward.
