I can see the argument for Thomas. He's safer, but I take Barkley on 9 out of 10 teams. Elite RBs are more dominant than elite WRs, and I think Barkley has a good shot at being elite. I also don't think Thomas is elite. He probably falls into the low-tier stud category, but not elite.

This is silly. Juju has obvious upside, but his hype is unreal also.

I don't think that's an overpay... I suspect most will decline that offer.

Just for fun, a few months back I floated 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, and 1.11 for 1.1 and the owner just said why rush into a deal, we have plenty of time to talk, and I've heard nothing back. He's so dead set on taking Barkley I'm not sure there's an offer out there I can make. Now this isn't near the overpay others have said and many might turn it down, I was more amazed how little interest he had in even discussing the trade. Granted this is a fellow PSU fan but his team needs depth, and for the record I wouldn't have made the deal.

I think for fun I'm going to float OBJ and 1.03 just to see what he says. (Please note I would never make that trade)

His response was he'd think about OBJ and 1.03, I could've given it more time but I felt bad making him actually think about a fake offer. Then he proceeded to tell me it wasn't impossible to get 1.01....yeah pretty sure it is.

The hype is similary every year. i suppose just wait til after the draft. The 1.1 is worth more than Saquon Barkley.

Agree. I like Kupp and Coleman but prefer JuJu here pretty easily.

Gonna jump on the Barkley topic for a moment. I just acquired the 1.1 (for 1.5, 1.6, Miller, Foreman) and next day had an offer of Kamara and 1.10 in my inbox. Last year's RB3 and rookie of the year for someone you just hope produces those fantasy numbers, and I know it was illogical but I turned it down

I sent an offer of D Cook (or D Henry and 2nd), Ajayi, 1.5, 1.6 at Gurley and Zeke owners and got told to stop bothering them. At a bare minimum I felt that was more than worthy of a counter, if not an outright overpay by myself

I also even offered 1.5, 1.6, and his choice of Miller, Ajayi, Ingram for Devonta Freeman and was told no. Offered Juju for Freeman straight up (Owner has Freeman as his RB3 and bleep for WRs) and was again declined. This was before I acquired Barkley, but reason I moved on to the 1.1 was because I found it effing impossible to get a top 10 running back in my leauge

In my league, the 1.01 was sold for Melvin Gordon and 1.10, which I thought was an extremely low price. He did get DJ Moore at 1.10, so that makes it somewhat better, but still.

That said, some of the trade offers in this thread are insane. If someone expected 4 premium 1sts for the 1.01, I'd just move on to another stud RB like Elliott, Gurley, Bell, David Johnson, etc.

If none of them are for sale at that price, I'll just use the four premium 1sts and build my team and be happy with what I have. Sure, a lot of 1st round picks don't pan out, but four of them gives you a chance at a solid core. I don't understand trading half your team away for one player.

I wouldn't have given much thought to turning the Gurley/Zeke offer down. Cook has like 5 or 6 games of production. I don't think Ajayi is going to be a three down guy in Philly and 1.5/1.6 are lottery picks. The owner also needs to clear roster space to bring in those guy, so it's really for Gurley/Zeke plus his three worst players. It's probably closer if it fits his roster needs, but not a lot of teams need to downgrade from an elite runner to two upside guys and a couple of decent picks.
