Who is going too late?
Who is going too late?
I've been through a handful of rookie drafts at this point and there's not much consistency between them. Aside from Barkley at the top it's truly a jumble there-after.
There is one player I have solidly as a late-second in 1-QB PPR formats who has fallen to the fourth in each draft...that player is Keke Coutee.
Chances are I'm just too high on Coutee. That's not what I want to thread about

Re: Who is going too late?
anthony miller i keep seeing fall in my drafts but then on here i see him as fringe 1st early 2nd rounder. idk why hes not more of a target with how weak the bears WR situation is and i thought he was one of the best WR in this class.
i think Allen is going pretty late, seeing him going after 3-4 WRs even in superflex drafts which is silly to me. even if you dont like him hes a projected starter of an nfl team and went at 7 overall.
Chark has fallen in some of my drafts as wel but then been where i expect him in others, i think he should be gone by late 2nd. maybe people are scared off by a run central gameplan in jax and a mixed group of WRs who are all eh and nobody stands out, i just think he could be the best of the bunch at WR in jax

Re: Who is going too late?
John Kelly. Everyone likes to preach about how situation should be used as a tiebreaker, not as a tier mover. But very few practice it. He went from a border line 1st rounder to a 4th rounder real quick when he got stuck behind Gurly. Just remember situations can change fast in the NFL. To me he’s screaming great value at his current ADP.

I got John Kelly at the 5.10 in an FFPC league, I was thrilled with that.sugbear65 wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 4:13 pm John Kelly. In the drafts I have seen on here, Chase Edmonds and Nyheim Hines. I also think Richie James is going to be a beast for the 49ers. Way underrated in ADP.

I see Mark Andrews constantly slipping beyond the 3rd round. He is essentially a WR at the TE position and the Ravens have been begging to produce a TE1 for a while.

Re: Who is going too late?
Interestingly enough, I've experienced the EXACT same top 3 in all 3 of my drafts so far: Saquon, Guice, Michel. I realize that's not the question, but just figured I would mention that
Miller has gone early-mid 2nd in all 3 drafts. That seems too late IMO.
Josh Allen has gone in the late 3rd in two of the drafts (1QB), that's about half a round after a QB taken at #12 overall would normally go in my rookie drafts.
Goedert hasn't fallen much, even with a terrible landing spot. Hurst has typically been the 3rd TE taken, which isn't surprising. People are shying away from Gesicki HARD, tho, which I find somewhat odd - after all, there's no one guaranteed to receive targets in that offense.
Jordan Wilkins isn't getting a sniff in the drafts I've seen. That seems crazy.
Michael Gallup is going TOO high. Late 1st, early 2nd. He was an early day-2 pick... people are too seduced by that depth chart.

Dante Pettis.
I have no idea why there's a narrative that he's just a role player. When I watch his tape I see a legit WR. The way he sucks the ball in reminds me a lot of Hopkins, who had similar measurables. He was drafted in the early 2nd round by probably the 2nd best spot for a WR to go behind Green Bay, to a team with a hot young QB that needs a long-term WR1, yet he's available in the late 2nd round.

I think the Wilkins hype is picking up steam. I agree on Coutee. He wasn’t drafted in my 3 round draft but I got him as my top pickup on BB waivers following the draft. Also picked up Wilkins there.DynoScout wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 3:49 am I've been through a handful of rookie drafts at this point and there's not much consistency between them. Who is going too late in your actual rookie drafts, based on your personal rankings?
Others going too late for me are Hines and Samuels. I traded 2.11 & 3.01 during the draft for 2.07 & 3.07 to get Pettis at 2.07 knowing I could still get Samuels at 3.07. Had I not done that I would have taken Samuels with my last pick at 3.01.

I've heard others say Waldman is better for RB's, but not WR's. Is that accurate?Pew Dogs wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 4:49 amI can't help but wonder if Pettis is not going earlier because he's a Matt Waldman favorite (#1 on his board) and so many have been burned by his man crushes that we not only roll our eyes but recoil.Vcize wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 10:38 pm Dante Pettis.

Re: Who is going too late?
Jordan Wilkins is one for sure. I love his style of play and I think it fits the Indy backfield best as a guy who can do everything. He could be the mid-year starter and the kind of player who could elevate a playoff run. For me, he's a late 2nd to mid 3rd. In my 2 drafts thus far, I didn't have picks in those later rounds and he went undrafted so I was able to get him off waivers. Anyway, he is undervalued for my taste.
J'Mon Moore is my other guy. I love his game and can picture his style meshing well with Rodgers. He'll have opportunity for sure. I laugh every time ESB gets drafted 1-2 rounds later. Classic!
