George Kittle value

Postby Mjvb5 » Sat May 12, 2018 3:49 am

In a 12 team superflex with TE premium, what kind of value would you assign to him
To me I would need an early second this year or a first next year to move him but that seems like I’m asking too much in the trade talks I’ve had. How far off base am I if I am?

His ADP is around the 14th rookie, which puts him around the early 2nd you mentioned.

In a TE premium, it would have to be a late 1st.

Ah, as an owner I think you're right in holding out for late 1st/early 2nd/2019 1st. Gesicki is his rookie competition and he's been going 2.03-2.06 range in my SF + TE premium leagues and I'd say Kittle is a bit more valuable.

I doubt you get a 1st, so early 2nd seems about right...that might actually be hard to get as well, but wouldn't sell for anything less.

No way I'd pay that. Not in this years class, anyway.

Someone has to be the big red zone target for Garoppolo...
It’s not like he’s unathletic. He’s Uber-athletic, and possibly the #1 red zone target in what could be a rapidly ascending offense.
In that range, I suppose I’d be looking at whatever fell out of the late first of guys like Kirk, Miller, or Gallup, Pettis, or maybe Hines. I put Kittle in that company. Even if you think Kittle might be a year away, with his great athleticism and situation, what’s not to like when comparing him to these options?

I could see the argument for wanting Mayfield or Jackson over Kittle, though...if for nothing else just the fun of owning them.

Non TE premium I would maybe give up a player I value around a mid-2nd...somebody like Keelan Cole.
In TE premium it would take a bit more but no way he is worth a 1st. He is all projection at this point much like any of the rookies this year

I recently offered Godwin for him in a TE premium league and was declined.

I’d consider all those WRs for my Kittle. I’d have to make more moves because of lineup/keeper rules. I’d take any 1st or early 2nd instantly. I like him, and he fits my keeper requirements but a top 20ish pick I’d send him out.

Seems pretty obvious actually... situation and athleticism (https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/george-kittle/).
SF offense looked juicy after JG showed up and SF didn't add a WR target hog or any TE. So somebody is going to put up points. Garcon, Goodwin, Pettis, or Kittle. JAG, JAG, skinny rookie, or 2nd year TE.

Combine that with the sketchy looking TE landscape for 2018 and he's got potential to be top 6. Especially now that Henry is down. Who looks good behind Ertz, Gronk, Kelce, and Engram? TE5 is up for grabs for 2018. Maybe Reed or Eifert stays healthy, maybe Graham, Walker, or Olsen have one year left.

Not invested in Kittle but he seems to be in a ripe spot. Strong coach/QB combo plus no true #1 WR. Recipe for success.
