Rookie Draft Results (in progress)

Our commish finally gave into our nagging and drunkenly started our draft tonight instead of making us wait til Monday.

16 team, salary cap, 1 PPR, 1 QB. Here are the results so far:

1.01: Saquon Barkley
1.02: Derrius Guice
1.03: Nick Chubb
1.04: Sony Michel - My Pick

Notes: I tried trading back, offering 1.04 for 1.06 and a 2019 2nd and the owner did not budge. I knew I wanted Michel, he's been my guy pre-draft and I don't mind the landing spot. So instead of risking moving back further I just went with my gut.

1.05: Ronald Jones
1.06: Rashad Penny
1.07: Calvin Ridley
1.08: Kerryon Johnson
1.09: Royce Freeman
1.10: Chistian Kirk
1.11: Lamar Jackson
1.12: D.J Moore (I traded this pick for 1.16 and a 2019 2nd projected top 5. I know, I know. This will not be popular)

Note: This trade was the best I could find while staying within our first round. My thinking: I am not high on Moore, I don't trust fast risers around the NFL draft and I HATE the Carolina offense (Cam owner.) But most importantly, my goal was to get a QB to hopefully replace Cam in a year or two. Since this is salary cap I cannot afford to keep paying Cam and I already have too many skill position players to start. Value wise, I think its hard to argue that this was a good move but for my team, I am happy with the result.

You got DJ Moore in a PPR league at the 12th spot and you aren't happy about it?

In my half PPR leagues he went 8th twice. In my full PPR league he went 4th.

You got the best WR at a great deal. Dude has a radius that's incredible. I think he's under-valued.

It appears he traded the 1.12 for the 1.16 and the 2019 2nd and his trade mate picked Moore there. The other trades I don't think are his just trades that happened in the league.

I don't think all of those trades were his. He was listing the league trades for the night. His trade was he gave the 1.12 for the 1.16 and a 2019 2nd. He projects the 2nd rounder to be within the top 5 of the 2nd round if I'm evaluating his post correctly.

very interested to see who you get with the pick you traded back for. if you end up with like courtland sutton then it makes sense but i think there is a tier break there where you can come out of that trade looking pretty silly
