It just depends on your roster size. He's a dart throw at this point. And unlike most dart throws even if that dart throw strikes a magic bullseye, it only lasts for a year.hotrod wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 7:09 pm The general sentiment is that he's done or should be, but he says he intends to play. Re: Adrian Peterson, at this point, what are his best landing spots?
As much as I think AP is done, there are some landing spots were he may still be a viable flex play for one yr.
In order of preference:
- Houston (I actually think this is the best landing spot, and he could be a RB2 here)
- 49ers (Mck won't be a fulltime 3 down backs, would be good to rotate AP in here and there)
- Miami (could carve out a role with Drake, bare minimum handcuff)
- Indy (not confident any of the other RBs are better than APs current low level)
- GB (same as Indy)

I agree with all but Miami. Maybe if they didn't have Gore.Johnny Canuck wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 10:14 am As much as I think AP is done, there are some landing spots were he may still be a viable flex play for one yr.

Re: Adrian Peterson, at this point, what are his best landing spots?
Concerning the bolded, I would say 0.5. No way would it be 2. They would get buried.hotrod wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 7:09 pm The general sentiment is that he's done or should be, but he says he intends to play. Re: Adrian Peterson, at this point, what are his best landing spots?
Ok, I would agree with 2 being high in Vegas. What I'm looking to get at is where is the 50/50 chance on number of fantasy starts where he could be a good RB#2 or flex play, not necessarily 100 yd games. I would guess that is somewhere in the 2-3 range. If AP lands in a spot where he can get the feature role or, at least, 15-20 touches for a couple of games this season he has a high ceiling (in those starts) and value for a contending team. If/when he gets signed his potential trade value should increase, at least for a short time. I just grabbed him off the WW (dropped Mike Davis) in my 12 team superflex league.Jacob wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 4:28 pmConcerning the bolded, I would say 0.5. No way would it be 2. Re: Adrian Peterson, at this point, what are his best landing spots?
I say in an effort to get a Ring before he retires, he signs a cheap one year contract with the New England Patriots. This of course flips Fantasy Football on its side and further fractures the already convoluted Patriot RB corps into a hellishly chaotic dystopian nightmare scenario. Both of these things, in the very private bowels of Gillette Stadium, make Bill Belichick smile.
The season starts and Peterson is listed on the official roster as a VB. When asked at preseason press conferences what a VB is, Belichick just glares and grumbles and repeats over and over "It is what it is."
The season plays out, and it becomes apparent what VB is...... Vulture Back. Peterson runs the ball about 100 times, roughly 90% of them inside the opponents 10 yard line. He gains 275 yards on those 100 carries, but scores 32 touchdowns, making him somewhere in the neighborhood of RB15 in most leagues. Contending owners grudgingly give up future seconds by the boatload to shore up their RB for the playoff run, only to have Belichick get them again by making Peterson a healthy scratch for week 14 and 15 games.
Bank it.

I wouldn't give up the 4.12 rookie pick for him.
