Link to SF thread where I bought Chad Kelly (in Phadeds league).
I would be willing to place a side bet with Phaded on who wins the backup role - Kelly or Lynch.

Chad Kelly is now getting work with the two's. Seems like it's only a matter of time before he moves to #2 on the depth chart.Shoreline Steamers wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 10:25 amAdmittedly biased, but I think Kelly will beat out Lynch in camp to hold the clipboard for Keenum. Though obviously lacking the draft capital, I believe him to be the better QB.
And if this does come to pass, Lynch will likely travel the backup QB path for the remainder of his time in the league.

It's very early but so far the draft stash of Chad Kelly is looking pretty good. His talent is right up there with the QBs in the 2018 draft class, and it's not like he's playing behind a franchise QB. Very good chance that he gets an opportunity to start sometime this year.

Well that escalated quickly. Vance Joseph just announced Kelly is the backup QB.TheRookiePro wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 2:55 pm Chad Kelly is now getting work with the two's. Seems like it's only a matter of time before he moves to #2 on the depth chart.

Finally.
How anyone in the NFL was optimistic about Paxton Lynch after watching his 2015 bowl game is a mystery to me.

I think it has been taken down/deleted but a Broncos fan created a Go Fund Me to raise money for Denver to release him lolz.
Lynch's size, arm and surprising athleticism were intriguing when he was drafted. For a short time, I was possibly interested in drafting him in my 2QB league but couldn't justify it over Goff + Wentz.
Wonder if there's any foreshadowing here with Lynch and Josh Allen? #SIZE #ARM #ATHLETICISM

- Despite the program, none of those DBs had a draftable grade.
- Other than the epic faceplant against the first half-decent secondary he faced that season, the significant thing about the 2015 Bowl game is that Auburn had a month to look at Lynch's tape and prepare. Turns out that was all that was necessary to make Lynch a liability instead of an asset. Obviously, game prep of this nature is the every week norm in the NFL.

Re: Paxton Lynch: So you're telling me there's a chance?
Doubtful. i think Lynch failed mainly because he was very raw coming out and the team flipped from Dennison to McCoy to Musgrave at offensive coordinator in two years. He's spent more time learning offenses than he has focusing on the fundamentals. Maybe he would've failed anyways, but I think he'd have shown better than he has at the very least. It's entirely possible Buffalo will make the same mistake, but it's not like there aren't successful 6'5" QBs out there. Less so with 6'7", but I suspect that's more a sample size issue.Servo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 7:22 am I think it has been taken down/deleted but a Broncos fan created a Go Fund Me to raise money for Denver to release him lolz.
