Do you guys ever go to the historical draft data and look at who was drafted at each position in the years past? It's kind of fun to rekindle the names of sleepers that you rosterbated about who never panned out. It's crazy when you look at the day 3 type of guys, the chances of hitting on one are pretty low, percentage-wise:
RBs: http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldr ... e=position
WRs: http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldr ... e=position
QBs: http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldr ... e=position
TEs: http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldr ... e=position
Although the 2018 data isn't fully there, the other years are complete.
Enjoy!!!!!

Re: looking at the past to predict the future:
That 2012 RB draft class looks absolutely hideous. Alfred Morris in the 6th round is probably the best player that came out of that class. Some may say Lamar Miller but Morris has more career rushing yards and a higher YPC over his career so I'll give him the nod here. He's just currently trapped on a roster behind Zeke.
Re: looking at the past to predict the future:
How about the 2010 RB draft class. Disappointment level = 100%
Seriously, 100% of them failed to live up to expectation. Except perhaps James Starks had a touch of sell high value, as did Spiller after 1 of his seasons (although he still didn't live up to expectations).
1 9 C.J. Spiller RB Clemson Buffalo Bills
1 12 Ryan Mathews RB Fresno State San Diego Chargers
1 30 Jahvid Best RB California Detroit Lions
2 51 Toby Gerhart RB Stanford Minnesota Vikings
2 58 Ben Tate RB Auburn Houston Texans
2 59 Montario Hardesty RB Tennessee Cleveland Browns
4 112 Joe McKnight RB USC New York Jets
5 139 John Conner RB Kentucky New York Jets
6 173 Anthony Dixon RB Mississippi State San Francisco 49ers
6 180 Deji Karim RB Southern Illinois Jacksonville Jaguars
6 188 Jonathan Dwyer RB Georgia Tech Pittsburgh Steelers
6 193 James Starks RB Buffalo Green Bay Packers
6 200 Charles Scott RB LSU Philadelphia Eagles
7 237 Ryan D'Imperio RB Rutgers Minnesota Vikings
7 253 Erik Lorig FB Stanford Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Harvey Unga RB Brigham Young Chicago Bears

OMG how about the 2004 WR draft class for players not named Larry Fitzgerald!!!!
Or the 2007 WR draft class for receivers not named Calvin Johnson.

Re: looking at the past to predict the future:
Don't worry. This year, the top 8 RBs are all going to hit, and the top 6 WRs will all be WR2s within 2 years. The QBs, well we've got 5 future top 10 QBs in this class. There's at least 10 more WRs, RBs and TEs that will be very solid assets. I'd say, this year, your 3rd round pick is probably worth a 1st in most other years.
That's why I'll be trading all my future picks to get into this draft. Because THIS year is different.

You better hope you're wrong - or is it right in this case?
