Superflex Rookie Top 12?

Postby stoneghost28 » Tue May 01, 2018 11:05 am

Curious what people think of this. Have an RSO draft coming up this weekend.

The latest ADP from 2QB's is still a bit old so it's hard to figure out market values.

Right now I'd probably go:

1.01: Barkley
1.02: Guice
1.03: Mayfield
1.04: Rosen
1.05: Darnold
1.06: Penny
1.07: Chubb
1.08: Michel
1.09: DJ Moore
1.10: Lamar Jackson
1.11 R. Freeman
1.12: Rojo

Honorable Mentions:
QB: J. Allen
RB: K. Johnson
WR: C. Sutton, A. Miller, C. Kirk, A. Callaway

This is just off the top of my head, not super married to it.

1.05 Sam Darnold
1.06 Sony Michel
1.07 Nick Chubb
1.08 Josh Rosen
1.09 Lamar Jackson
1.10 Royce Freeman
1.11 Josh Allen
1.12 Courtland Sutton

The USFL Superflex rookie auction just started a few hours ago. We have balanced scoring, which brings down QBs to reasonable levels.

I think anyone in a superflex should be prepared for the Watson effect. My first rookie draft so far:

1.1 Barkley
1.2 Guice
1.3 Penny
1.4 Jackson
1.5 Mayfield

1.6 Jones
1.7 Chubb
1.8 Rosen
1.9 Michel

Last year, mostly the same guys, Watson went 1.12, Trubisky went 2.4, Mahomes went 2.7, Kizer went 2.11. This year already 3 QBs in the top 8 picks. Big difference with the same guys drafting.

I think it's less a reaction to Watson and more that this years qbs are just more highly regarded. I was in 3 or 4 SF drafts last year and the qbs all fell about the same as this leagues did. Last year Watson had question marks about his ability to be a pass first qb, Trubisky was a one year starter in college, Mahomes wasn't really in the conversation until he blew up his pro day, and Kizer was a project who probably should have stayed in college. This year you have 3 guys who are NFL ready....polished, experienced, and talented, another who might be a trancendant athlete, and a 5th who has monster arm talent.

Those last 2 posted are getting my hopes up for QB of my choice at the 7 spot, but I shall temper such things

Seems like QB’s are falling too far this year which means I’m going to be a happy camper.

Any rebuilding squad able to get Sam Darnold or Josh Allen with their natural early 2nd really helps with the rebuild.

I agree although I wonder if some leagues aren't going to be more QB centric. I mean there aren't many positional players better than the QB's as far as quality prospects go imo.
