Dynasty league themes

Hello all, I am starting a brand new dynasty league and I'm looking for ideas on a good theme for the league. Any opinions are appreciated, thanks!

We have a Star Wars themed league, an 80's sci-fi themed league, and a Rockstars themed league.

Two things. Themed leagues are great when everyone names their teams in a manner that's consistent with the league theme. Also, it's important that all league banners follow a consistent standard.

Beer Leagues are great, as we all love beer, tons of good names, tons of good logs (to create banners with). But really any theme can work, so long as you get everyone to buy into it.

My buddy did the design work for it. And I've seen other leagues "borrow" his banners and even franchise logos. So feel free to use if you see fit.

Thanks for all the replies so far. I'm in a NFL themed and a heroes vs villains themed league right now so I'm looking for something different. Does a battle of the sexes league sound fun, where there's 2 divisions, one with actors and others with actresses?

If I ever get my sh*t together, I've been wanting to create a 16-team league themed around 80s/90s/00s wrestling superstars (I don't know any of the new ones, my nostalgia simply wins out)...4 divisions, each named after one of the yearly PPV specials and the playoffs being WrestleMania. The kicker (not the skill position, they wouldn't be part of lineups) would be that a portion of yearly dues would be used to purchase a replica WWF Heavyweight Champion belt to go to league champ...

LOL I was totally thinking about an 80's WWF themed league. It would be easy to come up with team names like "The Rowdy Roddy Pipers, etc".

But I don't like commissioning on MFL so I won't be formulating anything new.

Dude, I love themed leagues.

I have a Keeper called Justice League of America FFL where teams must be from DC or Marvel. Also run a redraft called JAWS LEAGUE, where your team must be Jaws based. I started a new Dynasty last year called Guitar Gods which, naturally, means your team must be a guitar god.

Love the Star Wars theme!!! You could incorporate that idea into a Sci Fi space based league, which would include SW, The THing, Alien, Logans Run, 2001, pretty much any movie or show steeped in space.

Off the top of my head, I'm in leagues with the following themes... Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Marvel v. DC, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, European Premiere League, Seinfeld, College Football, and then a few NFL-themed (imagine that!).

leagues i'm in:

Marvel vs DC
Star Wars
Greek Mythology (this one is actually my favorite and the look with crazy characters like Zeus, Cerberus, Nike , etc. its dope)
NFL
NCAA (these are cool to do with pipeline or devy aspects)
Lunch (literally food theme lol)
WWE/WWF (we did tag teams as we have a co owner aspect...2 owners per team offense and defense)

Other ideas:
Cartoons (nick toons theme, adult swim theme, rick n morty theme, etc)
Cars (muscle cars, car brands, types of vehicles, etc)
Any Popular movie or TV show (Avengers, Superbad...mofuggin team McLovin!, Dukes of Hazard, M.A.S.H.)
