How devious of a strategy is this?

I had a guys 1st rounder and he was tied for last place, needed a loss to cement him earning 1.01. The guy he was playing week 13 had no quarterback. I traded him Nick Foles for a 2019 6th round pick. He beat the guy by 5 points, and I got Barkley

No collusion. Never talked to the guy, just sent the offer to him

That's ingenious and completely legal in my eyes.

If people in the league don't want people to tank than implement the rules now and enforce from this point on.

I said "No" because, other than as an example of what tanking is for future reference if you do make a rule about it, this should not affect this owner or this year's draft.

it just floors me that the commish claims to be anti-tanking, yet when presented with an example of it by an honest, open owner, he was fine with it. yikes.

Yeah, it's a baffling position. Untenable really.

I'd be more concerned by the commish saying "yeah cool I guess" he actually checked if he could talk before doing it. This is worrying to have a commish like that

I hate all these tanking stories. If you simply gave the first pick to the team with the best record that doesn't make the playoffs, and the second pick to the next team that missed, and so on, there will never be tanking again. Every game will matter, and teams will be scratching and clawing every single step of the way.

Yikes. You gave Goff away. What round did you draft him in? How big is the league? What's the format? IDP, TE Premium, Superflex, PPR?

I run a league where, by league rule, tanking is not permitted. It does include many guys who were burned in the past by tanking, so we're all in accord with one another on it. I don't believe the fortunes of the playoff teams should be decided by someone who quit competing.

If you have the same rule, then yes, the Commish must address. If not, too bad so sad. If it's not against the rules, then it's in accordance with the rules. Just the way it is.

Think there's a surprising amount of people in this community who would be well-served just doing the new "Safe Leagues" brought to you by MFL, DLF and Leaguesafe.com.

This poll needs more options. Seriously, though, it's like Baskin Robbins up there.
