Most Volatile Pre-draft Value

Postby tresskid84 » Sun Apr 22, 2018 7:05 am

What players have the most volatile stocks pre-draft (whether its vets or incoming rookies).

Carlos Hyde is logical for top of this list. Marlon Mack definitely could see his value spike or sink. A guy like Gallman as well. Lamar Jackson sticks out to me at QB. Where he could go in the draft means the situation he lands in could vary dramatically. At WR, Allen Hurns could leave the draft as a number 1 wr with a good QB. TE was harder for me find someone, but I think Gesicki would fit the bill. How high he gets drafted will say a lot about his real prospects in the NFL.

What does anyone think? What players could she the biggest shifts in their value depending on the draft?

Lots of RB’s.

Barber, Mack, Seattle, Foreman, Perine, Drake, Booker. They could be wiped off the planet or go up.

I think Hyde and Duke are pretty good so whatever rookie goes to Cleveland will take a huge dip for me. This actually applies to any player Cleveland drafts. They will be dead to me.

In Superflex leagues McCarron, Tannehill at QB.

I think the rookies themselves are the must vulnerable. Some of these guys will not be drafted as high as we think or at all. Some of these rookies who are currently being mocked in the late first or mid 2nd will be 4th/5th round rookie picks after the draft. Happens every year.

CJ Anderson and Dez Bryant. I dont expect either to be signed pre-draft, and if they both get signed post-draft to teams that didnt address the position(s) in the draft their value will likely climb back up.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

Tannehill is a great one, as is Drake . . . and yeah, rookies are always decently volatile, especially past the first rounders. I'm more concerned with Foremans achilles injury than the draft for him. Rb's dont have a great track record with that injury.

Good ones. I think it would be wise for them both to wait until after the draft to sign.

Marquise Goodwin has a lot of value riding on SF not drafting a WR early. April ADP has him pegged in the value range of an early 2 in rookie picks.

Detroit RB's.

I get the vibe that their management is dead serious about getting a trustworthy RB.

Hoping Booker and Barber get a bye because I own them in a lot of leagues. Feeling like Drake, *insert who ever is the rb for the Giants*, and Mack could all be replaced.

X2 ... Marquie Lee as well. A lot of risk for the Marquise brothers

I started another thread about this exact thing. My ideas-

Ajayi/Clement- If Philly thinks Clement is just a space back, is uncertain if Ajayi can be their primary back, or fears he could leave next offseason, I could definitely see them drafting a back. That said, they did get good production from a vet retread last year (Blount), reportedly considered trading for Ingram last off-season, and Ingram's a FA next offseason.

Rob Kelley and S Perine- deep RB class, and I've seen plenty of positional need rankings putting RB as a top 3 weakness on the team.

McKinnon- if SF sees him as a space back, I'd expect them to draft another RB. Even if they only get a thumper, he'll take a (perceived)value hit. If they get a back with 3 down potential, not only could McKinnon's value drop but his opportunity as well.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def
