NFL Execs rank Josh Allen QB #2.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2303 ... -prospects

in 2005, the league preferred Alex Smith over Aaron Rodgers
in 2007, they loved JaMarcus Russell
in 2008, they ranked Brian Brohm and Chad Henne over Joe Flacco
in 2010, mostly just garbage, Bradford was first, which i guess is right by default, lol
in 2011, they ranked Gabbert first and Locker, Mallett, and Ponder all ahead of Andy Dalton
in 2012, they ranked Weeden and Osweiler ahead of Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins (and Nick Foles, SB MVP, lol)
in 2013 - mostly just garbage, no one was right (or everyone was, except the Bills?)
in 2014 - Manziel and Bortles were 1 and 2 over the likes of Carr and Garropollo (and Teddy, I still have faith if his knee ever lets him play)
in 2016 - They had Lynch, Connor Cook, and Hackenburg over Dak

I don't think I'm smarter than the NFL, in fact I know I'm absolutely not smarter than them, but I also take these rankings with a huge grain of salt, based on history. They love his upside and hes a smart, mature young man. If I could get him day 2, I would love taking a shot on his upside too. But when I watch him, I just don't see it. If I'm wrong, and these rankings prove right I will gladly eat some crow . . . thats why they are doing what they are doing in the NFL and I'm arguing on a fantasy football forum, haha.

"You're talking about a kid who's got a rocket arm who's more mobile than they give him credit for," the scout said, "and if he fixes the feet, the accuracy is going to come -- 100 percent, it'll come."

That quote was all I was getting at with the inaccuracy. That guy is bolder than I. He guarantees it, I just think it could fix it.

the reason why josh allen and some of the other misses are ranked where they are is the same reason why it is easier for a tall skinny girl to become a super model . Certain people are just better fitted to do a certain job - it doesn't guarantee success only a greater possibility of success.

Allen has flip flopped through my rankings all through the process but what I do know is he has all the tools his blessing may very well be his curse in this situation. It has become gravely apparent he will be drafted very highly and when that happens the clock starts ticking for him to get on the field. The sooner he gets on the field the less likely his chances off success , were he less impressive physically he would get drafted lower and lessen his chances of being rushed in battle before he was prepared to do well in that battle.

The highest wonderlic and the best arm the pro style system and the understated mobility and running ability are huge feathers in his cap . If he hits he will easily be the best of the bunch (L Jackson could be really close) but his odds of hitting are damned low in my opinion.
Jackson has a chance to be a fantasy football legend but less of a real life factor however !

Landing in cleveland and buffalo will be devastating for his overall chance of succeeding as they will do the wrong thing because that is what they do - they cannot even help themselves at this juncture.

I'm just really curious, what are people basing off the immense upside of this guy? Other than being able to throw the ball really hard and far. I'm asking seriously because I never really watched any of his games because why watch a bad QB (which he was last year regardless of how you feel about him or his upside), on a bad team, against bad competition. I haven't gone through the entire thread, but everything I hear is pure speculation. The only real tangible positive I've heard from experts is his strong arm. I could care less about personality or leadership skills when I'm judging "upside." That only comes into play for me when a player is already good.

I fully expected a new post on him this morning. Ironic how somebody on here mentioned a couple of days ago that athletes should get a flip phone and delete their social media ASAP. As a Sports Agent, that would be my advice, or at a minimum, require them to have a social media babysitter/editor.

I guess I spoke too soon about his personality and leadership skills...guess he doesn't have that either...just poor judgement and a strong arm.

Starting to get the vibe that he tumbles down the draft board. A lot had Rosen falling but i think Allen will be the guy that starts to fall down the board. I am not sold this will be a QB free for all. I feel like its been built up so much that its destined to turn out not to be true. LOL

"I mean, I matured. I'm past that. I don't dwell on it or nothing. It happened. It happened, so I can't cry over spoiled milk. I was young. I was dumb. I was immature. I've grown a lot, actually. I don't do no ping pong no more. Got myself and me to look after, so I ain't got no choice but to be a man. And haters gone a hate. So I take disprespect and respect it, you dig? Every team that don't draft me won't see what I'm made of, what makes me a man. Just got to be humble and do my thing and stay away from Twitter and all of that. I was just raised by one father and one mother, on a farm. You kknow what I'm saying? It ain't easy growing up in Firebaugh, ticks dirt roads, big gophers. Lots of boredom times. Nothing to do but do trouble and stay out of the heat. Moved on back beyond that to here now. Gonna let my savior, Jesus Christ and my arm lead the way and do my talking, and don't try to disprove the critics of my critics wrong ."
