Is Britt worth a flier?

Postby kris_kapsner » Tue Apr 17, 2018 8:07 am

Does anyone think Kenny Britt is worth trading for to take a flier on?

I just got an offer of him for a future 4th. I had him last season and dropped him just before he was released nd picked up by the Patriots.

For a future 4th; why not.
Whoever you draft in the 4th will be a longshot flier anyhow.

my flier there is Patterson if he sticks. a former top 15 startup, that just never found a roll. I could see him earning touches via special teams, and taking off...bb has been know to find the diamond in the rough.

I'd pass. Don't really see any reason for him being rostered.

A future 4th offer to me generally means to me I'll have the option to get him on waivers shortly. Can't fault the guy for trying, but at this point as we all look at the slack on the end of the roster to make room for rookies, it's best to wait it out.
Team 1: 24 Team Superflex - RB/WR 1.0PPR - TE 1.5PPR - 2 Copy
Start: 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 2TE, 1SF, 3Flex
QB: Wilson, Stafford, Blough, Keenum
RB: Zeke, Gordon, Carson, Mack, Michel, White, Trayveon Williams
WR: KAllen, Kupp, Kirk, ESanders, Jeffery, PWilliams, TWilliams, RRidley, Coutee, Boykin, KCole
TE: Hooper, Olsen, Jonnu Smith, Uzomah, Akins, Alie-Cox, JReed

Team 2: 10 Team - 0.5PPR
Start: 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex
QB: Rodgers, Brady, Herbert
RB: CEH, Bell, Connor, Guice, Ingram, Dobbins
WR: Godwin, OBJ, Sutton, Higgins, Aiyuk, ESanders, PWilliams, Perriman, ABrown, VJefferson
TE: Kelce, Higbee

Team 3: 12 Team Superflex - 1.0PPR
Start: 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1SF, 3Flex
QB: JAllen, Rodgers, Brady, Mullens
RB: Zeke, Bell, Henry, DJohnson, JWhite, JJackson, BLove
WR: Adams, Kupp, Edelman, DJohnson, Jeffery, PWilliams, AMiller, PCampbell, CBeasley, Hamler, TJohnson
TE: Kelce, Hooper, Olsen, Rudolph, Uzomah

Hell no. 4th round picks last season in my league included: Kenny Golladay, Cooper Kupp, Chad Williams. 5th round had Gerald Everett, Adam Shaheen, Jake Butt, Taywan Taylor, and others... It is IDP but there are clearly more valuable assets than Kenny Britt at those later picks. When he cuts him, you can always grab him from the waiver wire. Assuming the Patriots don't release him.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

For a fourth? Sure. Doubt any of the decent QBs will be available then even in standard leagues, and I'd be willing to take a chance that last year's flameout was due to playing in the Factory Of Sadness. In 2016 he was excellent, and he was a solid bye week fill in during 2014-2015.

...all of those guys were available in the 4th or later in your league?
Wow.
They all went for 2nds & 3rds except maybe Shaheen in my leagues.

If your league is anything like the above - the 4th carries a bit more value.

Its also important to note when the rookie draft occurs. My rookie draft is within two weeks of the NFL draft...so, guys havent popped in camp yet and you havent read all of the buzz reports (which helped prop up Galloday and Kupp). Mine is also IDP (which, you will usually see 5-8 IDPS taken in rounds 2 and 3), so, it will push some normally 3rd offensive players, down into the 4th round.

Not worth a 4th.
