Hopkins was the same way and now he's consensus #1. Evans hasn't peaked yet, he's just about to enter his prime.skip wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 9:24 am Even if I were to move Zeke out of my top 5, I can't justify putting Evans in it. He had a down season...but he had a similarly down year in 2015 where he was #18 among WRs (and outside of the top 20 this year). I have a very hard time putting him in the top 5 players when they still have just an above average QB in Winston and will be adding a rookie RB to supply a running game they've been missing. I expect Evans to rebound into the #8-#13 range of WRs.
Top 5 PPR players

Re: Top 5 PPR players
That's a bit of a stretch for me as Hopkins only had one down season in 2016. Also there is a considerable difference in talent at QB. I am definitely expecting a rebound from Evans, just not into the top 5.Jason3123 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 10:52 amHopkins was the same way and now he's consensus #1. Gurley, Bell, Nuk, AB, DJ
Re: Top 5 PPR players
I went OBJ Hopkins Gurley Bell DJ. If it were non-ppr I'd be more tempted to consider Zeke in there...but ppr makes it easier for me to exclude him and make my top 6 a top 5.
Re: Top 5 PPR players
For me it's Hopkins, Gurley, OBJ, DJ, and Brown. I think a top seven including Zeke and Bell gives a better idea of that top tier, and I can see an argument for Evans being included.
Funny how nobody (me included) is thinking of Cooper here, I remember him being right there with OBJ and Evans last offseason.

Yes...which sprouted the insight of another contributor here in a "One of these things is not like the others" thread. Props to Phaded...calling out his own team's supposed superstar.Blueboy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 12:52 pm For me it's Hopkins, Gurley, OBJ, DJ, and Brown. That said...I'm a buyer of Cooper if his price is that of a 3rd round start-up pick or so.

Re: Top 5 PPR players
Although idk if I agree or not, Barkley is being valued as a top five asset
Re: Top 5 PPR players
Recency bias just poo'in on DJ. He had a wrist injury, not an ACL. Furthermore he has shown great success with numerous degenerate QBs at the helm. You want consistency, go look at 2016 DJ fantasy scoring in any format.
Furthermore this whole 'age' thing when referring to 26 year old RBs is hilarious.

Re: Top 5 PPR players
Hop, OBJ, Zeke, AB, DJ for me, in some order.
Might move Zeke ahead of OBJ the longer he goes not being in the news.

Re: Top 5 PPR players
Is it, though? We're talking most valuable dynasty assets. Why would I pick him over Zeke and Gurley, who are 3-4 years younger than him and produce at the same level? Next RB is him or Bell, which is basically personal preference at that point.xlur8ed wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 1:31 pm Recency bias just poo'in on DJ. He had a wrist injury, not an ACL. Re: Top 5 PPR players
OBJ, Hopkins, Gurley, Zeke, DJ is my top 5 ppr
Re: Top 5 PPR players
Odell, Gurley and Hopkins being top 3 isn't surprising. There are some surprises though. With people getting 5 votes I though Elliott and Evans would have received more votes. Even Hunt and Kamara with their current high value may have picked up a few more votes. This kind of discussion in fun pre-draft.
