What do you use to measure players values in trades?
Just curios as I have seen people use a variety of measures from charts with numerical values to the ADP to just basic need. What this the most common measure you use when trying to trade players?

Re: What do you use to measure players values in trades?
Picks for me. Generally I think of players being worth x number of random 1sts, 2nds, 3rds, or a combination
Re: What do you use to measure players values in trades?
I have found myself leveraging back to ADP to get an idea and adjust slightly on need or depth. I still struggle with this a good bit but that's how I have started approaching it.

A dartboard with player faces, a blindfold and a barrel of whiskey.
Re: What do you use to measure players values in trades?
Replacement value of the player is an excellent way to think about it regardless of your league. The whole supply vs. demand concept.

Re: What do you use to measure players values in trades?
It sounds obvious. But, for me, it's about the players. If I like the player that I'm receiving, then I figure out how to make it work; if I don't, then I reject the trade. Rankings help if it's reaaaallllllly close or as a way to potentially gauge what the other guy might think that the market is.
But, in the end, it's all about the players for me. I don't see how it can be any other way*.

Re: What do you use to measure players values in trades?
Every situation is different. I will start by looking at the draft calculate. But that is just to get a starting point. It goes out the window pretty quickly, but I do like to see where the other person is coming from if they are using it. Most of the time I look at what I believe they will score ppg. Then adjust for age.

Re: What do you use to measure players values in trades?
Well played, but pretty close to my strategy. I do look at ADP and various rankings to see if I am off-base, but mostly go with my gut. I also have a few friends I like to bounce ideas off of. This forum seems to give a relative consensus on a lot of players so my bias lies with DLF, but I also stray from the pack quite a bit. In the end it comes down to your leaguemates and you, and how team construction vs. value ends in a win in your mind.

Fantasypros & FBG trade values chart
https://www.fantasypros.com/2018/04/fan ... 18-update/
http://subscribers.footballguys.com/app ... tradevalue
DLF ADP & Rankings (always 15 last days, no more). They even have made a 2 QB Rookie ADP recently : https://dynastyleaguefootball.com/2018/ ... ort-april/
DTC & FantasyFFtools calculator specially DTC who uses a 10/12/14/16 teams and PPR/Non PPR/Superflex/2 QB system.
https://dynastytradecalculator.com/calculator/
http://www.dynastyfftools.com/tools/calculator
But the final decision is certainly my own advice It's just an help cause we can't see further like experts do all year long.
For interested people i've found a site for Superflex ADP with Vets, Rookies and both reunited : http://ffdynasty260.com/superflex-adp/
I use pick trade calculator too : https://www.footballguys.com/pickvalue.htm (but i really think number of picks takes advantage on the gap between early picks and late picks in this one. And between 1.01 and 1.02, there is absolutely no difference. So to be taken with a grain of salt) and the same one but more elaborate (until 8 picks) with lineup requirements, rosters, teams...http://subscribers.footballguys.com/app ... Calculator

Re: What do you use to measure players values in trades?
This. I have my own rough rankings, then throw out or reply to offers. Sometime, people say my offer seems off then refer to ADP from here or other sites. Lately, I've been looking at ADPs and calculators first to gauge an offer before sending, to get a sense of what the other owner might think.pokerface40 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 15, 2018 2:49 amWell played, but pretty close to my strategy.
