4 out of 6 TDs in red zone drills says to me Cousins will spread the ball to whoever is open. Seems that Treadwell and Cousins are building rapport and trust. Treadwell will be going against the weakest coverage since he's 4th on the pecking order so that's good for him. He might not get a lot of yardage but I can see him being a favorite red zone target.

Also - two years ago Cousins led his 3rd receiver to a 67-847-7 line. While supporting 2 1000 yard receivers and a TE with just shy of 700 yards despite Reed only playing 12 games. So, he can fully accomodate the weapons around him, he will throw to who is open and not force it.

That said, would not be surprised at something like a 45-500-6 line for Treadwell. While not great for fantasy, it would be progress.

Gotta keep in mind that the Redskins were a pass-heavy offense that year who ranked 27th in rushing attempts. It was a different OC last season, but Minnesota ranked 2nd in rushing attempts. Their new OC ranked 6th in rushing attempts last season with Philadelphia. So, they'll likely continue to get a lot of positive game script.

While that is absolutely true, I feel like due to this offensive line we are going to see the Vikings being in a position to make a lot of long conversions. They may need to pass more than they would like. Or maybe it will be low scoring defensive games (which I doubt).

What are your realistic expectations for Treadwell that you're buying him? are you expecting him to turn into the WR1 ahead of Diggs and Thielen? the WR2 ahead of Thielen? or a WR3 and just expect the Vikings to support 3 fantasy relevant WRs?
I actually have no expectations for Treadwell this season - I'd be pleasantly surprised if he reaches the marks proposed by Phaded. I just like owning Treadwell because he was one of my favorite college WRs. Alas the offers I proposed got rejected with no counters - guess the Treadwell owners are not bothered by the Diggs extension (did not think they would be). :(

I wont go into specifics but basically deals similar to a future 3rd with an upside player (say like a RSJ or a Curtis Samuel or a Breida) for Treadwell.

Perfect! Thank you.

I am presently considering offering something very similar to the owner in my league. Also looking at other options that may be depressed in value. John Ross for example. Might even kick the tires on Mike Williams. Though those guys would probably cost a bit more even after disappointing in 2017.

Edit: Although I guess I should temper my enthusiasm since you got rejected without counter...

He went in the 24th round of a startup I did, after 39 rookies, pricing him at 4.03-4.04. Still feels like a buy to me.

Agreed. He’s a year younger than Ridley and Miller. The guy hasn’t even had a chance and has two top wr’s in front of him. He needs to show something this year that gives us hope for contract #2

Boy, this feels a lot like Davante Adams to me in 2016... I'm not saying Tread will turn into a 1st round startup pick, but I think people are wrong to assume that his value can't substantially move in the right direction.

This is an interesting thread to read through. I think people that dismiss Tread could be missing a very good opportunity viewtopic.php?f=5&t=124655&p=1083636&hi ... ante+adams

Well, really any disappointing WR could fit that bill then. The difference with Adams was that he got healthy (ankle injuries the previous years) and improved significantly as a route runner.

Treadwell has been healthy the past two seasons.
