How has this gone into a third page..
Man, in the off-season people will talk about anything.

I feel like I should go make bump the Brian Quick thread.

He's only 25 and on a depth chart where it is conceivable he could earn a real role so why not?

LMAO...followed by random chuckling each time I think of video.
Omg I have a splitting headache from laughing. I never even looked to see how long the video was and there was a nice 2 second silence while I figured it out.

I'm a Minnesota homer and have watched every single game of Treadwell's NFL career. He has shown almost zero against NFL competition in two full seasons now.

And it's not like there are a ton of reports from training camp or practices saying that Treadwell is dominating practice drills or anything like that. And really, the only reports coming out on Treadwell are ones that aren't necessarily positive.

So, any optimism for Treadwell is based on nothing but a hunch or guess.

The homer in me is still hopeful. This is his third year, so it's now or never. He gets on the field, I think it was 44% of snaps he played, and Michael Floyd and Jarius Wright are gone, so even with Kendall Wright, the snaps are there for the taking.

Also, I've read that DeFilippo likes to use big-bodied WRs on slants quite a bit (haven't verified that), but if true, that obviously would be a big chance for Treadwell.

If I'm honest though, all the evidence is pointing to him being a bust. He's just not creating any separation when he's out there, and that's due to lack of speed/explosion or bad route running or both. This season will be his last in Minnesota unless he can take a step forward.

This. That's me too for a lot of my posts.

At the same time, if the good Dr. thought of Treadwell as a bust with only sellers and no buyers maybe he is saying the amount still in contention swayed him from thinking that it was set in stone. At the same time I tend to feel sour on any take that is saying the amount you said means something other than what you said.

Well it’s not like you paid a ton for him. I like Goodwin, but it’s not like he’s going for 1300 next year or something. You traded something useful but that can easily be found again for something that isn’t at the moment useful but may just be more interesting for you to roster. This is a game...for fun, after all.

Exactly!

Although I will have to add a lot more  and send some  your way if Goodwin does end up with 1300 yards!

I get that Goodwin was a 0 for a long time and was probably owned by half your league up to 2017 but I don't know if I would have sent him for Treadwell...considering Goodwin carved out a solid role on an upward trending offense.

OMG. This community was very high on Tread pre-NFL and before rookie drafts. He was cited as being the by far the best route runner in that class. Now everyone knows he was terrible and overrated? Hindsight sure is nice.
