Given the abomination that his QB play was last year, hard to call last year mediocre. Not saying he is a world beater but I feel like he was definitely a solid player last year and would only be better with a QB that knows how to throw a forward pass.

To give the mediocre at best Booker the reigns? I don't think they go into the year with Booker as the lead back, not if Elway feels they are still a good enough D that adding Keenum gives them a title shot. Anderson was very good in their playoff run as well as in the SB itself vs the Panthers.

I would think Indy to be the most logical trade partner, but I have no faith in him getting dealt. As many others here have said, Elway will somehow find a way to screw fantasy owners and fans all together

Hadn't thought about that. That would be gold for CJA's value. What do you exactly mean by screwing fantasy owners and fans over though? I'm a big DEN fan - and wouldn't like seeing CJA go without a solid replacement or a drafted RB. D. Booker is not an every down back. Not even close.

lol that's a fact. With Anderson coming in, would have to imagine he would slide in as the 2 down back if it happened. Drake being the 3rd down guy and splitting some early carries.

As a Denver fan and a big CJ fan, this is a sad day. The team, most notably John Elway, never seemed to appreciate Anderson and never really valued him properly. He's outperformed his backfield mates every season in the NFL, and has consistently received top10 grades from PFF - yet Elway nearly lost Anderson to Miami a few years ago, then badly under-utilized him over the past few seasons, giving valuable carries to Ronnie Hillman, Devontae Booker, and a washed-up Jamaal Charles instead of Anderson.

As a dynasty owner of CJ, this could be a good thing for his outlook since there are a few promising destinations around the league:
-Indianapolis: They don't seem content with Mack (unfortunately), and could be a great offense if Luck's health cooperates
-Tampa Bay: Solid offense in desperate need for a workhorse RB
-Seattle: Bad O-Line, but good offense that needs a workhorse RB
-New England: Anderson is better than both Gillislee & Hill, Anderson would immediately be a candidate for 12+ TDs
-Green Bay: My darkhorse candidate - they couldn't really settle on Montgomery / Williams / Jones last year, and we know Rodgers values a pass-blocking RB (which Anderson is good at). Much like New England, Green Bay could be an easy path for RB #2 numbers just based on TD opportunities
