One of the few I don't mind as it's easier for me to distinguish between ARob and ARod and it embodies some creativity just like people calling Calvin "Megatron". My issue is just that too often a player comes around who has no track record in the league, already has a basic identifiable name, etc. and gets assigned something random or useless.

My pet peeve is hearing these "dynasty experts" terribly mispronouncing players names on podcasts like they've never actually watched a game and heard the name pronounced before. I've been hearing a lot of Derrius "Juice" this offseason and I just shake my head.

I think we are all aware of who ODB was. The reason why it's super annoying as a "nickname" for Odell Beckham Jr. is because it makes NO SENSE. It uses 2 of his 3 initials, and uses them out of order.

I am not a big fan of simply using a player's initials as a nickname, like AD somehow turning into AP simply over laziness and lack of creativity, for example. But what is terrible about AR15? Or is that a political thing? AK47 is awesome and that man has one of the coolest wives ever with the whole birthday hall pass agreement.
