How do people feel about Cole next season and beyond? Sleeper with long term potential or JAG? I'm stashing him at the end of the bench right now but rosters are shallow and I can't afford to sit on him too long unless he produces. He had was on the field about 2/3s of the time (67.5% snap share) last season. He wasn't incredibly efficient with his targets but it was Bortles after all. Does he become more involved in '18 or is he behind Lee, Moncrief and Westbrook on a run first offense? Thoughts?

I’ve got Cole stashed in so many leagues but I was let down when they signed Moncrief because I thought it was opening up for Cole to start, once they didn’t tag AROB. I still think he’s a hold and this is purely speculation by me but he seems like the type of player a GM like Coughlin and a coach like Marrone would like, being undrafted and working his way up, etc, and he’s inexpensive. So for me, I’m holding for sure to see how this plays out, unless I get in a roster crunch, like you mentioned, then it’s a tougher decision.

Would agree, great fit with Dallas and honestly feel like he would slide in right away as the number 2. Injury bug has bit him but last year really was just bad luck and honestly he was lucky his ankle didnt break when he got rolled up on. From what i remember, it was a pretty nasty looking hit. I am with you, the right landing spot and Hurns has a chance to make some noise if he stays on the field.

Just reported that Hurns is visiting Dallas on Wednesday, fingers crossed but I’m hoping that as long as he checks out medically that they can get him to sign. We need all the help we can get with our WRs.

Definitely think Dallas could be a good landing spot. Thank you New York for the snow. Lol. It does sound like he is willing to wait and listen to multiple pitches and then make a decision. But guaranteed money can sway that I am sure.

With the addition of ARob and Gabriel they might feel okay letting Meredith walk. Maybe it's dependent on how White is doing. Maybe it's dependent on the offer Meredith gets. I don't know.

Re Meredith: I feel like Nagy doesn't use a big slot WR much, which is why they signed Gabriel. Depending on the offer, I could see CHI letting Meredith walk, though obviously they'd like to retain him if it's on the cheap.

Getting back to Hurns. Other reasons why I would like Hurns in Chicago is to get a gauge of Bortles and Trubisky. Since they'd have the same WRs you can get an idea of how good/bad they are. Yes the lines are different, but it would still provide a good marker to see if Bortles is as bad as everyone likes to say he is, and project how Trubisky will be in the future.

This signing made my day, as I like Hurns quite a bit and think he’s under-rated. He should play a lot and can play slot too so I think they will move him around a bunch.
