Cody Latimer to the Giants

Postby kris_kapsner » Mon Mar 19, 2018 6:12 pm

The former 2nd round Denver pick is now a WR in New York.

I picked him up as a free agent this year because he was due to be a free agent and you never know what may happen. He's still just 25 years old. What do you think? Can he get his career pointed in the right direction with the Giants?

Behind OBJ, Shepard and Marshall this year. And Engram. If they decide not to resign OBJ I could see an argument for him

I could never understand why the Broncos had him as the direct backup to Sanders. Maybe he'll work better in a role more in line with his skillset. I don't see him doing much in year one at the very least. He'll start behind OBJ & Sheppard and who knows if he'll even start as the third. Injuries could change things, but that's pretty much his only hope for significant growth this year.

Is this why I was oddly offered Tavaris King for my ARob last night? I mean, I understand getting out while you can, but c'mon

As an owner with Latimer, Roger Lewis, and Travis Rudolph as fliers across various leagues... I don't like it.

This was a terrible landing spot IMO. The Colts, Cardinals, Bears, Bills, Saints... there were a lot of teams that would have been more attractive. I'm not gonna add him off of waivers in the league Team 1 is in

scooped him off of waivers in a few leagues at the end of last year hoping for a good landing spot and a late breakout - this doesn't seem to be it . Very disappointed in that landing spot but will hold through draft day I suppose just to see how it plays out.
