I am holding too. I was just hoping that Atlanta would have moved him well before the season and training camps started to set him up as a starting RB this year. Still could happen if he moves during the draft, but with so much depth at RB in this class, I doubt that happens...

I agree with virtually every post on here.

1. He is not a lead back, but that doesn't seem to mean much anymore in today's NFL climate. Given the right situation, like the one he is in ATL, he can be a solid weekly flex play in PPR.

2. ATL is not going to pay him. You can't pay two RB's that kind of money to form a committee, it would just be dumb. And with what they paid Freeman, they are not paying Coleman. He is headed elsewhere, to be on another committee, with the upside as the one he currently has.

3. Freeman suffering a severe injury would only momentarily result in RB1 status. You still need to pair him with a plodder. The reason the two work so well together is a.) The OC framework set before hand b.) you really can't game plan for one or the other. Split them apart and Coleman is a 3rd down passing back.

4. With all that said, I would absolutely love to have him, and continue to try to pry him from his owner. BUT I am not paying a premium for him on "what if's" as every Coleman owner out there is holding out hope that he becomes a RB1 elsewhere after this year. I offered 2.5 for him, and that's as high as I am willing to go.

I could see Coleman as the 60/70 back in a committee instead of the 40/30 back, which would bump his value some on the right team. I don't see him as a 3 down do everything back mainly because there are so few in the league these days.

Express your shock? I'd be shocked if they traded him. You need more than 1RB... it would be bad team management to away someone as good as Telvin from a team with Super Bowl aspirations.

Every time I watch him he is the most impressive player on the field. He runs hard, has breakaway speed and is great in passing game. He will get a 4 yr deal next year to be the starter, if not it's a mistake.

That's true, but you also don't want them to walk away for nothing, or for a compensatory pick that probably won't even be a 3rd rounder... Why not trade him and target a younger RB that you can afford to keep? So yeah. If you don't like "shocked", how about "pretty surprised". ;)

In the end even if we keep getting this, solid RB2 production with a low needed volume resulting in an extended career I'd say he's worth a late first for that alone. Could he be a three down back sure but I dont think he will, I view his upside as leading a commitee which in todays NFL is still worth a lot.

I think hes worth it, just for the gamble alone that's he goes to a different team next season. I bought and am holding to see. Someone would have to overpay me to obtain him.

I turned down a late first for him last year based on his actual current level of production. Solid flex player, and given our starting requirements I had no qualms using him as a weekly starter. Very consistent with potential for big weeks.

I'd be happy as a dynasty owner if the Falcons could keep both him and freeman
