^This. I've got a few of these types of guys that are worth way more on your team than you'd get in return via trade. Last time I tried to deal Crabs or Sanders, best offers I got were Leontee Caroo or 3rd+ type deals in a 16 team league. I'll keep the top 30 wr production. These are the types of guys that fill a championship roster.

Re: Crabtree landing spot
True, but I'm not all gung-ho about a 31 year old receiver facing a defenses top corner every week. Crabtree couldn't be a WR1 four years ago. He was in a great situation on Oakland and Baltimore will supply targets but that doesn't mean he'll repeat the success he had in 2015/2016.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 6:03 pm^This. If you're acquiring him to be a wr1, you're team isn't a contender. I'm talking about filling out a roster. He should be your wr3, 4 or 5 ideally depending on format.
And trust me, I tried to move him. But if the league doesn't value him, which mine doesn't, I'll keep him until he falls off or retires.
I tried to move him for Godwin+ to a team that laughed at me. Mind you he'd have been this teams 2nd best wr easily. Some guys just get no love in dynasty.

Re: Crabtree landing spot
TWill getting that extension was ridiculous. Him and Dez (with their contracts and limitations) are killing the Boys. There was talk a month or so ago that Oakland might cut Crabtree. When Stephen Jones suggested they might play hardball with Dez and restructure/cut him, I was hoping they were setting up replacing Dez with Crabtree. Think that'd be an improvement, then throw some picks at finding a downfield replacement for Williams. Alas...Cowboysfan33 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 12:56 pmButler is fast but he played the same spot as Dez, so he hardly saw the field last season and like you said, he’s a FA. I thought that Butler should’ve played more on the other side but for whatever reason, he hardly ever did. Williams is one of those guys that will have a good game, every now and then, but it’s hard not to want more when your other outside WR besides Dez has zero TDS for the season. Beasley is just a slot WR and his numbers went way down last season too. All in all, any Cowboys fan will tell you, they have to get multiple WRs, whether it’s through the draft or FA, which at this point, it would have to be through draft. I just don’t see where Crabtree would be much of a fit, the Cowboys need speed at WR, more than anything.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 12:31 pmReally? I thought Terrance Williams and Brice Butler filled that role? I know Williams gets dumped on repeatedly and Butler's a FA, so maybe you're talking this year?Cowboysfan33 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 9:11 pm
The Cowboys have 10 draft picks due to getting 4 compensatory picks and I’ll be surprised if they don’t draft at least two WRs and I think there’s a huge chance that one of those is a first or second round pick. They need someone that can take the top off, there’s hardly any speed at WR right now. I like Crabtree as a player but I don’t think he fits what they need. They restructured T.Frederick contract and now have around 9 million so money isn’t the issue and they reportedly made a solid offer to Sammy Watkins. Personally, I like DJ Moore from Maryland and think he could be a realistic choice at #19 overall.

Re: Crabtree landing spot
I’m not a Crabby hater, but I don’t think it does. I don’t think he’s a teams WR1 by nature. Cooper and Carr helped him big time. He’s better in a completely complimentary role. Also, I have serious doubts about Flacco to be able to quarterback.CooperCrush wrote: ↑Sat Mar 17, 2018 4:12 pm What are his expectations this year with Baltimore? Re: Crabtree landing spot
I hate Crabs in Baltimore. His value goes way down with Flacco, who has shown nothing the past couple years. His only chance is to man the slot and hope the Ravens switch the O to focus on Crabs in the short passing game. No way he's a No.1. Maybe his value to me rebounds if Flacco shows revival in the preseason.

Agree this is easily in the range of outcomes and would've been a top 12 ppr season last year... worst case he's a volume driven, low end fantasy wr2/high end wr3.

Re: Crabtree landing spot
And though his ceiling may not be super high, a guy like Crabtree is VERY nice to own in leagues with deep starting requirements. Give me a WR3 who is almost a lock for 5-60 every week, with a TD once every couple weeks, that is wonderful.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 10:59 amAgree this is easily in he range of outcomes and would've been a top 12 ppr season last year... worst case he's a volume driven, low end fantasy wr2/high end wr3.

How can you say that?! They have the BEST crabs in the country. Re: Crabtree landing spot
Agree completely. I think he outproduces Watkins this season and costs pennies on the dollar by comparison, granted he's much older. But these are the types of cheap assets that help you win titles.lukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 11:06 amAnd though his ceiling may not be super high, a guy like Crabtree is VERY nice to own in leagues with deep starting requirements.
