Latest I saw was he is visiting Oakland first. And speculation that if signed by Oakland, Crabtree will be released.

I say if Oakland signs him, they keep all three of Cooper,Crabs, and Nelson. Reminds me of Gruden with Brown/Rison, then Brown/Rice with a decent possession wr in between. If they release Crabtree... It's a head scratcher for me.

I would like Oakland to sign him but not at the expense of Crabtree.

If we could put Nelson & Crabtree on the outside with Cooper in the slot, I would be happy.

Rumors (though possibly self selecting and self generated) circulating that SF will make a push. I would love to see him in SF, New England or Indy. He's a great red zone threat and an experienced vet who would serve any of those teams well.

Not a bad landing spot, but I still wouldn't expect WR1/2 numbers. I think this is better news for Cooper since they'll be letting Crabtree go.

If they sign Nelson but cut Crabtree - I don't get it.
Seems like a parallel move, at best.

I agree, but cutting Crabtree is more of a financial decision.

What's the point though?
The Raiders have already been cutting people / not resigning players - freeing up cap space but have done nothing with that cap space.

The Raiders are heading in the wrong direction - yet again, what a shock.

They could see it as a parallel receiver quality move but millions less and therefore a win?

Crabs is set to make 7 mil 2018 and 7.5 mil 2019, but would have zero dead money if they cut him. Jordy could sign for 4 mil perhaps? Don't know what they're negotiations are at for a range

Parallel at best I said - and I believe it is a lesser move.
Jordy is not as good as he once was; and one of the main reasons he was so good is that he established chemistry with Rodgers. That much is evident when you look as recent as last year and see what happened after Rodgers left.

He will need to establish that chemistry with Carr; who is nowhere near the same tier as Rodgers.

On top of that - knowing Reggie, I would not be surprise if the contract is around the same that Crabtree gets paid.

I would be on board with this if we signed Nelson, left Crabtree and slid Cooper into the slot.
The Raiders are going to be a mess.

If they want to compete next year, it would make sense to have both WRs. Cooper and Crabtree on the outside with Nelson playing the slot like he did in GB. But I do think defense was a bigger problem last year and the offense will be ok even without Crab.
