I agree. Opportunity is there to take the job.Goddard wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 11:47 am Not ideal, but let's be real, the WRs in Washington aren't all that great. I doubt he was going to go anywhere and be the #1 option anyway. At least in Washington, he might be able to beat out a bunch of unproven guys and a TE who's never healthy. Could have been much worse.

Who do you like more, PRich on the 5 for $40M or Grant on the 4 for $29M? Apparently the market for mediocre receivers is on fire this offseason.

Re: Paul Richardson to the Redskins
As a lifelong Colorado Buffaloes fan, I’m stoked for P-Rich getting a nice contract and what seems to be a reasonable opportunity to be the target leader in an NFL offense.
As an owner, I’m trying to temper my expectations. This is still Alex Smith we’re talking about, after all.

Re: Paul Richardson to the Redskins
Was Jay Gruden the skins coach back when Djax had a couple nice seasons?
I may be reaching but I think PRich is a better player and offers an upside version of that Djax type player with better point of catch skills and red zone prowess.

Glad I sold a few weeks ago. This move has the look of 400 yards and him being cut a year from now.

Looks good for the player and team. Seems like they picked Smith because they have their mind on a QB in the draft they want to groom and this will light a fire under Doctson to step up his game. Crowder and Thompson underneath with Doctson and Richardson outside. I don't know seems healthy with a team that isn't the best at using a RB in a traditional way and loves to spread the ball.

Re: Paul Richardson to the Redskins
Didn't Alex Smith have good numbers this year on the deep ball? I could be wrong, but I recall seeing a stat about him taking deep shots last year.

Yes, he was one of the best at it last year. I'm a bleep Eagles fan but I'm rooting for Alex Smith hard until he gets some more respect. I'm in the camp that thinks he's better than Cousins.

Re: Paul Richardson to the Redskins
I would attribute Smith's 2017 performance to Mahomes pushing him and Hill being very good. I went and watched every Hill TD and several passes from Smith were under thrown and Hill had to slow way down, but due to him being so far in front of the DB to begin with he couldnt be caught.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 1:36 pmYes, he was one of the best at it last year. Re: Paul Richardson to the Redskins
I'm not sure I see the upside in Agholor. He just played on a top 10 offense with the top two target hogs both injured for parts of the year and he still only put up 62-768-8 which puts him in the WR2/3 range (WR23 overall, WR28 ppg). With a healthy Alshon and Ertz next year probably driving his target percentage down, where is he going to gain 20-30 receptions and 300+ yards?
