As a Drake owner, I'm not too sad about this signing. I feel like they'll share the load.

I feel like this signing was best case scenario for Drake owners AND Gore owners.

If Drake is as good as his truthers believe, he will have NO problem keeping Gore's old butt on the bench.

If Gore has any juice left, then at least he went to a situation with only one guy above him on the depth chart. It wouldn't take too much chaos for Gore to be startable as a Flex for a couple weeks this season.

Yes, I see Gase wanting a veteran RB so that if injuries strike Drake, he is confident that Gore can do all the things an NFL RB should do like pass block, catch a bit, and get consistent yardage. Gore may not break off long runs anymore, but he still knows what to do when he's put in the game, whereas a rookie biggest flaw when coming in the league is pass blocking.

I agree with you guys, this “shouldn’t” hurt Drake much. If Drake is good enough, he should still get plenty of touches.

"Old" Fred Jackson was 7 years younger in his last good season than Gore currently is. It's crazy how old this dude is. He's basically had an entire career of a 22 year old RB starting at the age he was supposed to be washed up and done.

Shady mccoy was 22 when Gore was "done" and now Shady is old and on his last legs and Gore is still going.

Just amazing how my team has spoken the Jets language so far this offseason (Teddy B, Williamson signed and both sold in dynasty with McCown in a pack for a 2nd rounder, Crowell recruited for nuts and now Pryor who is on my trading bait whom i could make a honest capital gain instead of cutting him since i claimed on the waiver 2 years ago)

Mike clay says target share will be way down but I can see him overtaking Williams pretty easily and dez might not be back.

This was what I was hoping for, I think this is a solid pick-up. I still think that Dez will be back, which I always have but this signing coupled with the signing of D.Thompson might be used as leverage to restructure Dez contract.
