Re: 2018 Free Agency Thread
I find it interesting to see Jordan Matthews is still unsigned, even after the Ryan Grants & Albert Wilsons. He, Pryor, & Inman are some of the best available WRs, as well as some seasoned vets such as Decker, Jordy, Wallace, & Maclin.

Re: 2018 Free Agency Thread
Of this group, Wallace is the one who surprises me the most. If you were to graph their production and current speed, he'd be the clear outlier, in a good way. The rest either have modest production or lack a deep or even intermediate game.lukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 1:02 am I find it interesting to see Jordan Matthews is still unsigned, even after the Ryan Grants & Albert Wilsons. Also wouldn't surprise me if they have to wait until after the draft to sign.

I think J-Matt's knee is in question so he'll probably have to sign a 1 year prove it deal.

Dmart just signed with the Raiders. Wonder if this means anything for Lynch?

Think it only increases the likelihood of him not returning back with OAK.Johnny Canuck wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 11:27 am Dmart just signed with the Raiders. Wonder if this means anything for Lynch?

Quite certain Lynch is now done in Oakland. Possibly done in the NFL.Fantasyfanatic11 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 11:36 amThink it only increases the likelihood of him not returning back with OAK.Johnny Canuck wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 11:27 am Dmart just signed with the Raiders. We'll see if anyone comes calling once he's released, but I don't imagine the market will be too hot for him.

Eifert staying in Cincy for 1 year.
Think that's best case for both parties. Eifert a TD machine with Dalton.

Re: 2018 Free Agency Thread
Don't love Martin to Raiders but don't hate it. Just another patch job by Reggie and likely means Lynch won't be back, which is unfortunate.

Re: 2018 Free Agency Thread
This is all speculation. I doubt Martin is getting much more than the league minimum for vets. I think Lynch comes back. I think Gruden wanted another veteran as he did not want Washington and Richard as his only options behind Lynch. Makes no sense to sign Martin with the idea he starts. It makes sense that he is depth behind Marshawn Lynch. I'd be surprised to see Lynch cut. It would seem odd that Gruden stated he wanted Lynch, and McKenzie wears Lynch's apparel at the draft to then cut him. I think Gruden wants Lynch, I think he stated it because he was being truthful.Shoreline Steamers wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 11:43 amQuite certain Lynch is now done in Oakland. To me this says the Raiders are keeping Lynch, and not spending any significant (or any) draft capital on a RB. They have too many other needs to address. It makes perfect sense to have a couple of vets, which Gruden tends to prefer. No way the start the year with Martin, Washington and Richard. I could be wrong, but to me this points to Lynch staying.

Re: 2018 Free Agency Thread
Raiders also signed their blocking fullback (no idea how he is) Gruden wanted, they signed Carrier earlier too as a blocking TE.. Looks like Gruden is getting his wish. Now for Lynch to stay and them to pound the rock. If Lynch wants to stay that is.
Re: 2018 Free Agency Thread
And Crabtree released.
*sigh*
He'll land somewhere for sure.

Of course it is. That's what we do here.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 12:19 pm This is all speculation. I doubt Martin is getting much more than the league minimum for vets.
Lynch may be back, but the financials on Martin's deal aren't out yet so we've no idea what he's getting paid. What we do know is Lynch is due $6 million for 2018 and that's a pretty big number for what they got out of him last year. If they want Lynch back for another season, it wouldn't surprise me if they at least ask him to restructure.

Re: 2018 Free Agency Thread
They had to do it for Cooper owners so they can feel good about owning the best WR in Oakland. At least until Jordy signs.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
Re: 2018 Free Agency Thread
Yeah - and now Jordy actually gets a better contract than Crabtree had.
Wonderful.
Wonderful.
