Kizer to packers
Re: Kizer to packers
I think the Browns got great value for him. He'll never be anything more than a career backup.
Re: Kizer to packers
Agreed. I'll take accuracy over a big arm 10 times out of 10.AussieMate wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 6:13 pmMaybe because people are obsessed with having a "big arm" when in reality they should care more about his crappy accuracy. Kizer may develop into an ok QB but he's just not that good, pretty simple. He does have a big arm though, I'll give him that

How is sitting on the bench the next 3 years a good opportunity?Mkh3225 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 5:51 pm Why is everyone so hard on Kizer? He was never ready to be the starter last year and I'm pretty sure he's still only 21? I'll admit I'm an ND homer but Kizer has a huge arm and was a second round pick for a reason. I think this is an excellent opportunity for him.

I don't understand people saying he's garbage. He was a 21 year old kid playing on the worst franchise in the sport. No rookie would have succeeded there in one year. He has footwork issues that lead to inaccuracy. He has arm strength, speed, and good physical tools. He will be perfectly fine learning from one of the best in the game.

Disclaimer: I do not think Kizer is good, just pointing out the obvious.
He will hit FA at 25 and have 3 years of learning behind ARod.
Re: Kizer to packers
Love this move for the Browns. I hated the Kizer pick to start with and they got a great return. Addition by subtraction. Gave up less for two superior players in Landry and Tyrod. Today is the first time in the last 20 years the front office has finally done something right.

Re: Kizer to packers
Rodgers had the luxury of sitting for a few years behind a HoF QB. Kizer might have the opportunity to learn a few things and then have a more successful run as a starter elsewhere once his rookie contract is up. I think it's perfect for him.Jason3123 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 7:44 pmHow is sitting on the bench the next 3 years a good opportunity?Mkh3225 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 5:51 pm Why is everyone so hard on Kizer? Re: Kizer to packers
Randall was too much of a knucklehead last season, and that doesn't play well in Green Bay, so glad to see him gone.
And unlike many of the Packer fans around these parts, who admittedly can't see past the bottom of their beer mug and may have played tackle football once too often with their orange foam helmet, I really like the Kizer acquisition. Sure, his rookie season was horrid, but he was in a position he shouldn't have been put into. And someone else pointed out the fact that the Packers will have a backup QB on his rookie contract this season, which is accurate because, well, Frugality.
Do I think Kizer is the future of the franchise? Probably not. But they get a few good seasons out of him as a backup, and if he gets a chance to play and does well, the Pack could flip him for a better player or pick.

I agree with this completely, glad to see Randall go. Kizer is worth a shot and the improved draft position in rounds 4 and 5 don't hurt either.meineymoe wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 3:27 pm Randall was too much of a knucklehead last season, and that doesn't play well in Green Bay, so glad to see him gone.

Kizer will sit bench for two years, then move to starter as Rogers demands a trade.
Rogers will be s sent to the Jets for a year and then take the reigns of division rival Minnesota, leading them to the cusp of the Superbowl, and eventually return a hero to the fans at Lambo, where his number will be retired in a tear-filled ceremony as Kizer watches.

People dissed the front office and Sashi Brown, but I hope he gets another opportunity. The moves he made set the Browns up well.
