Re: Official "Mack Hollins Hype Train" Thread
He's a fine stash, but how much hype does a guy likely to be fourth on his team's target totem-pole this year objectively warrant? You saw how little Smith did last year with his role, and presumably that's Hollins' job now. He'll have a few good weeks I'm guessing because he's a field-stretcher, but more likely than not he'll finish with under 600 yards in '18.

OP must consider him top 180 player due to his league size (10 team 18 man). Kudos to him for having such faith.

Too early to get much for him I think, but worth watching. Total flyer last year for me, so I'll hold for a bit longer.

Had him in a 13 year league that just folded. Trying to get him in another, recently got turned down offering 4.02 for him in full IDP league.

Lol thank you! I won't lie, I'm an Eagles fan so that has something to do with it. And every once in a while you just wanna be a little irrational and go with a player you really like, you know? Having said that, he will probably be a necessary cut when it's time for our rookie draft, and everybody in my league already knows that so I won't be able to sell him for anything of real value. But hey... a lot can change between now and September.
All it takes is an inevitable injury to Alshon (or even just a setback to his rotator cuff recovery)... or some regression from Ertz/Agholor... Mack Attack definitely has an opportunity to break out in a top offense next year, however small that opportunity may be.

Re: Official "Mack Hollins Hype Train" Thread
There is zero reason for a "hype train".
He is a stash at best, but you also need to realize that the draft and free agency have not occurred.
Those other pieces were not exactly crucial.

Sell Hollins before the Eagles make a play for Flash.
Re: Official "Mack Hollins Hype Train" Thread
Alot of targets leaving Philly. If they dont bring anyone in then yeah Hollins could be good. Ive been stashing for a long time.

Re: Official "Mack Hollins Hype Train" Thread
Are you in my league? Did you just sell ARob for Hollins/Westbrook/OJ Howard?
Re: Official "Mack Hollins Hype Train" Thread
Fixed that for you.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 1:13 pm All it takes is an inevitable injury to Alshon (or even just a setback to his rotator cuff recovery)... and some regression from Ertz/Agholor...
Also, it will take Mack Hollins actually turning out to be a difference-making NFL player. Which isn't even close to established or even evidenced yet. And a minor injury or cuff recovery setback won't be enough to delete Jeffery and his 52 million dollar extension from the picture.
So I'm counting four conditions here necessary for Hollins to have a 'hype' 2018 season: 1.) serious Jeffery injury 2.) faceplant by Agholor 3.) faceplant by Ertz 4.) Day 3 picked Mack Hollins with his poor college DR, breakout age, and 2017 PFF grade of 55.8 turning out to be a star.
Not really.
Torrey Smith is the only truly relevant departure. His '17 role was very minor; just 68 targets in the regular-season. Burton is irrelevant because he only splashed that one week when Ertz was sidelined. His second and third best weeks (42 yards and 41 yards) also happened with Ertz sidelined. Marcus Johnson had eight targets all year. Celek is a blocking TE who finished with 13 catches in the regular-season.
