Maclin worth these days?

Is Jeremy Maclin worth anything these days? Looks like the Ravens will release him.

Worth in trade? Little to nothing. I wouldn't give any draft pick. If you think he's worth a roster space, great. But don't expect anyone to give up anything for him.

Worth something, yes, but I'd struggle giving anything of consequence. I bought him last year, before he got cut. Going to Baltimore was terrible for him. I'm hoping he lands where he can be the #2 in a strong offense. Let's say, New Orleans. If he can stay healthy, be can be relevant/startable.

Maybe if he ends up as a Packer (if Cobb is cut). The packers could save about 9M by cutting Cobb (I think) so if they can sign Maclin significantly under that figure, it could happen.

I don't have any other team that pops into my head as a decent landing spot

i personally have 0 interest and wouldnt pay anyhting more than a 4th and even then i think i may have more fun with the dart throw and hopeful wishes of a rookie lol

I gave up a mid 3rd. I had a couple of 3rds and don't value them high (3 round draft). There's a 50/50 chance he even makes my team, but the same could be said for whoever would be drafted with that pick.

2 years ago I basically bought him for a 2nd, and last year bought him for a 3rd. Based on that regression, a 4th seems right, lol.

No, but seriously, it kinda depends on the league. In some, they'll pay heavily if a rookie hits; there, I'd prefer the pick. In other leagues, production carries a strong premium in-season; I'd prefer Maclin in those leagues. Of course, it isn't that cut and dry, but you get the point.

Maclin has to be considered strictly end-of-bench / roster-bubble material for us right now, considering he'll be 30 to start next season, we don't know what team he'll land on, we don't know if he'll even be a starter wherever he lands, and he hasn't been valuable in fantasy or real life since 2015.

With that having been said, Maclin's PFF grade for '17 wasn't awful (73.3), and of course we know he was in a crap offense with a game-managing QB that threw for less than 200 yards a game and has mostly only made vertical-route focused WRs briefly useful in fantasy. Age 30 isn't great, but it's still young enough for Maclin to conceivably have enough left in the tank for one or two more 'good' seasons.

If Maclin is lucky enough to land on an open depth-chart with a QB willing to throw him the ball, it's conceivable to me that he could resurrect some value. A rookie 3rd is out of the question in my view; I consider those decently valuable picks based on my own draft record with them. I'd consider a mid-late 4th, and would be just fine using a 5th.

Being a fan of his in the past I am quite skeptical on him actually playing at any sort of relevant level in the NFL again. The Ravens were and still are desperate for WRs and the fact that they cut Maclin without even renegotiating with him speaks levels. Ravens fans have brought up that he just did not seem all that interested many times last season. I would not touch him with a 10 ft poll, sell for pennies on the dollar.
