Burton
I posted a trade in advice but it got me thinking. How does the community gage trey Burton’s value? I honestly think given the right offense, he could be a top TE. In his limited opportunity and going into his 4th year (breakout year for TE) I think the sky is the limit.
This guy is about to get paid.

Re: Burton
I agree. I said these same words a few days ago in a thread pertaining to the best buy-low candidates, "Trey Burton. If he ends up going to the Saints he's instantly in the top 8 for TE dynasty rankings."jdomer2403 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 5:23 pm I honestly think given the right offense, he could be a top TE.

Re: Burton
I live in Philly and have watched Burton for the last couple of years. The guy gets open consistently and has some serious hands. I've seen him maybe drop one ball. Not kidding. He's been on the end of my bench for the last two years waiting for this moment.
Hoping he goes to a team with a good QB.

Re: Burton
I don't think so. Green never won the job over Gates all those years in SD. Burton will be atop the depth chart this season. Also he had 5 TD off of 30 targets last season. Green has 8 in his entire career.

Re: Burton
I like Burton a lot and picked him up as an extra in a trade this offseason. He goes and gets the ball like a power forward and I expect someone to sign him as a starter. I see him as a big upside guy for sure.

Re: Burton
Picked him up as pure speculation at the end of this season, the good news is that he turned down an offer to play for Philly again so he'll hit the open market.
Yes, he is a career backup, albeit to a pretty good TE (played well when Ertz has been injured) but I feel like I haven't heard anything about the 2018 TE class and that alone could make him have real good starting opportunity.
JAX HOU, BAL, NO?, DAL, MIA, AZ?, CHI?
Eifert will go somewhere, Graham may leave SEA but I feel like Burton does have a legit chance to make something of himself. But don't know if I'd trade for him. Maybe you move him for a 2nd round pick but if it's like RD3+, I'd probably hold.

What depth chart are we looking at? Do Philly play 2 tight end sets?TheRookiePro wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 5:37 pmI don't think so. Green never won the job over Gates all those years in SD. Burton is an UFA, and the Eagles aren't expected to sign him. Try and keep up brother man.AussieMate wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:26 pmWhat depth chart are we looking at? Re: Burton
If he was in your leagues FA pool available for BB Waiver claims - curious to know how much an owner would spend - assuming $100 budget.

Re: Burton
You're trying to say he isn't green because green never beat out gates, as far as I can tell burton hasn't beat out ertz either. Also he isn't atop any depth chart yet so you probs need to come back down to earth just for now. I do like Burton more than green though but I'm not calling him a TE1 just yet.TheRookiePro wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:33 pmBurton is an UFA, and the Eagles aren't expected to sign him. No, what I'm saying is. He WILL be on top of another teams depth chart come September. An opportunity Ladarius Green never had.AussieMate wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:46 pm You're trying to say he isn't green because green never beat out gates, as far as I can tell burton hasn't beat out ertz either.
