2019 QB's vs 2018 Rookies

Postby DynastyDeepDive » Sun Feb 25, 2018 7:57 am

I don't watch college football much and am wondering what the QB's look like next year.

Have the 1.03 in a superflex and just wondering of this year's rookies are going to be better then next years crop. Will help me determine what direction I go in.

Thoughts?
In too many leagues to list players. Check out my Dynasty Deep Dive!

Haven’t looked much into it yet, but I see a good bit of Penn State around here. Trace McSorley looks like he may be a poor man’s Baker Mayfield.
The standard is the standard.

People really seem to like Browning out of Washington, though I have never been a huge fan of his. Big kid and they are a successful team, but I think he will need to take a big step next year to impress me. I am no expert just like the rest of us though.

This is the best QB class to come out in ages. Literally, there are at least 5 guys who could be NFL stars.

Josh Rosen (upside of a Matt Ryan)
Baker Mayfield (a weird amalgamation of Johnny Manziel and Drew Brees)
Sam Darnold (lots of talent, questionable whether he can do anything with it)
Josh Allen (Carson Wentz light, with a much stronger arm and questionable accuracy)
Lamar Jackson (the closest that anyone has come to cloning Mick Vick, good and bad, though Vick had a stronger arm)

Any one of these guys could be a top 5 guy in 3 - 4 years. I have never seen so many prospects, and let's be clear, these are "prospects", at the QB position.

Everything I'm seeing is that there's no Luck in this class, but there are 5 guys who really should end up NFL starters which is a rare for a class. Don't get cute and look to next year unless its a nuts offer
