Shane Vereen

Postby kris_kapsner » Thu Feb 22, 2018 7:20 am

Shane Vereen is a free agent this year and he turns 29 next month.

Does anyone think Shane can land in a spot where he becomes fantasy relevant again as a PPR/3rd down guy?

If he couldn't make a mark in the talent depleted Giants backfield, I don't think it's likely he does anywhere else.

I agree with the majority here. Likely your answer is No.

Even if he does land in a spot where it seems on the surface like he may have some semblance of a role, His fantasy production will leave you guessing, hoping, and praying - and grasping at straws. One could make the very obvious leap here that the roster spot you use to roster Vereen then, could / should be used on another player.

You are prob right, I'm pretty sure he's toast at this point. I think I sold him for a 3rd last season and then picked him back up when that owner cut him. He's probably going to get cut from my roster this offseason if I had to guess.

It's fine to wait and see though. Stranger things have happened. If your roster space allows, having him as a bottom of the roster / bench guy isn't the worst thing to do. ie; There are worse roster cloggers out there.
