What to do with 4th and 5th round picks?

When it comes to actually using these picks - I will go after college players that were once thought of highly but then had something happen - this could be anything from having an off year to a "character concern" that has popped up.

An example is that last year I took Dede Westbrook at 4.10, and while the jury is still out - I am pretty optimistic considering my investment. I feel like he could have been an early day 2 pick if it were not for the character concerns that popped up.

There are lottery tickets to hit on. Tarik Cohen was the 5.10 in my draft last year. Deshaun Watson was taken in the 4th (10 team, 1QB). Goff was a 4th rounder the year before. So 4th isn't a bad place to take a QB in a 1QB league. I took Trubisky in the 5th and flipped him for essentially a 2nd to a Bear's fan after the pre-season. Austin Hooper was a 4th round pick and he's looking like he might be a usable fantasy TE next season, showed flashes. George Kittle was a 5th and again has a chance still. 10-15% chance to hit on a fantasy relevant player, by the looks of my last two years of 4th/5th rounds.

4th and 5ths, and even 3rds, are best used as sweeteners to just make a deal happen that's in your favor that the opposing owner is close to accepting but just wants a little more
