Rank the rookie QBS pre-combine/draft

Postby gmoftheyear » Fri Feb 16, 2018 1:01 pm

Hi, Haven't had a lot of time to start studying the rookie signal callers coming out in April. Was wondering who people on the board really like before the combine and draft ramps up? You can rank em if you like or just make comments on what you've seen from the top prospects. The more the merrier. Thanks.
QB- R. Wilson, Garoppolo, Fields, Ridder, Rudolph, Hooker
RB- Ekeler, Mostert, Pacheco, Dillon, Dobbins I/R
WR- Metcalf, Pickens, Higgins, DJ Moore
TE- Kincaid, Higbee
K- Aubrey
Def- Denver, Pittsburgh

No PPR, Start 2 QBs, 2 RBS, 2 WRS, 1 TE, 1 FLEX,1 K, 1 DEF/ST. 6 pts all touchdowns
2002 Points Champion, 2007 HTH Champion, 2014 HTH Champion

I'm a huge Rosen guy... may never be a Brady/Wentz/Wilson type of QB but definitely projects to a Matty Ice/ Eli Manning type for me.

Was it his epic turnover rate vs good defenses or his early Justin Bieber hair style that convinced you?

jackson - electric tools - if he gets it & is used properly , this will be so not close in 5 years

the rest of these guys are jags in my opinion

darnold - high end comp strong armed matt ryan reminds me of drew bledsoe a bit albeit more mobile version.
rosen - eli manning at best case

allen - matt stafford perhaps but doubtful if this were 20 years I would have him 1:1 like him 2nd best but accuracy dings him a couple spots - really think big ben is his best comp!

mayfield - 10% drew brees 90 % tim rattay - quick rattle off all the great big 12 qbs last 20 years !
white - like the moxy his interview with senior bowl nfl network guys he seems like a CEO type- it will take a while to get a shot

rudolph - way over rated john skelton 2.0

They all look like coin flips to me, and I'd rank them like this for dynasty fantasy football. The top 4 are all close enough that landing spot (who goes to which offensive coach/philosophy) will reset my final rankings. Look at Goff's first two years as an example - not good with Fisher, but much better with McVay.

From a fantasy perspective, the most valuable QB in this class over the next 4 years or so will be Jackson.

Mayfield will be a solid QB in my opinion and has a good chance of developing fairly quickly.

The rest need some development, not that the two above don't. So, the others I am more comfortable ranking after I see what coaching staff they land with. In fact, I'd be more likely to draft the guy who falls behind an aging vet than the guy who will start right away...at least if I'm looking long term.
