QB Carousel

Postby pokerface40 » Fri Feb 16, 2018 3:33 am

I can't remember a year in which there are so many FA and rookie QBs available, with a limited amount of spots to fit them all in. So let's have a little bit of fun and try to predict where everyone ends up.

Cousins: Vikings
Keenum: Bills
Bradford: Cardinals
McCarron: Jets
McCown: Browns
Foles: Eagles
Tyrod: Broncos
Bortles: Jags (guaranteed due to injury)
Bridgewater: Vikings

Darnold: Browns
Rosen: Giants
Allen: Jets
Mayfield: Cardinals
Jackson: Jags

Bonus: Johnny Manziel backs up Drew Brees with the Saints

That was tough.... give it a go!

Whoa.
Here I thought Howie was a sharp enough guy to make something work. He wants more for Foles than he got for Bradford.
I guess there is one QB you can scratch off the list of available

I see a few people predicting the Vikings enter 2018 with only Bridgewater at QB? I don't see that happening. If they don't get cousins, they will surely pick up Bridgewater + someone else, either a QB late 1st in the draft or they will also go after Keenum.

Foles just went 3-0 in the playoffs with a 73% completion rate, 6 TD to 1 INT, and was the Superbowl MVP from 1.5 months ago. Bradford has never played in the post season from what I see. I would want more for Foles also. On top of the stats, Foles is not a very large hit to the cap space so there isn't a real need to trade him.

But aren't the Eagles already over the cap limit for 2018? I know trading away Foles and his low salary wouldn't help a lot but they do need to trim money somewhere.

Yep. And if an NFL season was 3 games long I might give him a shot. I have seen him be solid for stretches up to 6-7 games even

Vikings seem to be the favorites for getting Cousins. I'm also hearing that if Denver can't get Cousins, plan B is to go after Keenum and draft Mayfield. Hue still wants McCarron, so I think that's definitely a real possibility. McCown and Foles probably stay on their current teams (along with Bortles after that extension). Bradford and Teddy don't really deserve to be starters at this point, but I'm sure they'll get a chance to go somewhere and at least compete (maybe with a rookie). As for Tyrod, the Bills would be smart to keep him, but I have no idea what to predict.

It's called "sell high". If they manage to find a trade partner for him, I'm expecting him to crash and burn with his new club.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
