Smith, compared to Cousins, will help the offense generally stay on schedule which conceivably helps whoever is playing RB. As for Perine, I liked him as a prospect and I think he's a decent hold/buy this offseason compared to the value he can return on the trade market. You gotta believe he can seize the RZ/GL role because Thompson seemingly has passing RB job locked down. If you don't want to bet he completely passes Rob Kelly then it's probably best to just move on now and draft someone with a fresh start.

I think he needs to drop some weight. He needs to pickup some speed in order for him to be a long term starter in the league. I like his tape and production coming out of college, but some added speed and quickness could go a long way for his game.
