Servo actually mentioned that in his post. It's better to follow lists for that instead of each individual beat writer because otherwise your timeline will get overly hectic and overflooded with nonsense. Also of course by the time you see it Adam Scheffter would've already retweeted it

List may not be entirely current, but this is a great start for you. I'd also recommend Reddit if you're taking the Twitter plunge. I prefer Reddit and all info seems to get funneled there pretty quickly.
