Any reason to keep this guy rostered? Specifically in a 13 teamer with deep rosters and a need for WRs.

He was injured his rookie year and then gets into some legal trouble that’s still playing out. Even if he doesn’t get suspended, is he even worth holding on to?

I own him in a couple of leagues.....he was a guy i think Matt Waldman was high on if that kind of thing makes a difference to you. If i remember correctly he was making a push to be the starting slot WR for Denver last year when he got hurt. How much value there is in being the slot WR for an offense like Denver's i guess is debatable. Me i hate cutting guys until theyve had a chance to prove it on the field, so i'll be holding for a little while longer, especially in leagues that allow a suspended player to be IR'ed.

Denver signs Cousins, and they get rid of Sanders as they clear cap space. If that’s how the offseason plays out, even if you don’t like him you’ll find a buyer.

Last Rotoworld blurb mentioned the Broncos are shopping Sanders. Perhaps that means they have some measure of faith in Henderson?

Been hearing talk that even if they sign a QB, even Cousins, they were planning on taking a QB in the first round. With that possibility I think it's more likely that Cousins signs somewhere like Cleveland or the Jets where they can throw a bucket of money at him. I could see Tyrod or Keenum/Bradford ending up in Denver with them also taking a QB in the first, either way it should be an upgrade over what they had in 2017.

Also I definitely see them cutting Sanders with a 60/40 chance they cut DT (dude had the longest active streak of 1000 yard seasons until this year when the offense fell apart) which should open some opportunity for Henderson. CH profiled as one of the best rookie receivers heading into last year in Matt Harmon's Reception Perception, assuming he can get his metrics/profile to translate to on-field success I think he could have a floor of a top 36 receiver and a ceiling of a top 24 guy, again assuming they cut Sanders but not DT. If they do cut Sanders and DT and don't add anyone of note he should have a floor of a top 24 WR just by nature of volume alone.

True but I also think they add someone in FA regardless and I'm pretty confident they'll be an upgrade over the junk they had last year at the very least.

Meh. I hated Paxton Lynch before the draft. If they pick somebody I like, the fact that they picked Lynch won’t change my opinion of that player.

Watch some of his college tape and you'll want to hold him. He is really something after the catch.

Was trying to remember the metric that he was so unusual in and I tracked it down. He forced the most missed tackles of any WR in college in 2016 and it wasn't close, he apparently had 2x as many missed tackles as any other college WR in the '16 class, and had forced the most missed tackles of any WR drafted since 2014 (when PFF started charting the stat). Denver viewed him as easily the most talented WR in the open field in the class. He also has a nice dominator rating.

I like him a lot but he's a depth guy to me, he's a sixth or seventh WR on your roster, has a chance to develop into a good WR4 and if you're lucky a low end WR3 which isn't bad with a third round selection cost. I was attracted to the selection by some of those metrics and the fact that I figured Dem Thomas and/or Sanders would be gone by '19 at the latest, which would give him a legit opportunity for plenty of targets within two years of being drafted.

He's worth keeping to me.

from what i hear about lynch is that he likes video games too much. dont know if the talent is bad but that he has a screw loose somewhere in his head cuz he'd rather play madden than make more money. hard to evaluate someones work ethic in limited time. also that's like saying anyone who strikes out is bad a baseball.

I like Henderson. I had him for quite a while before I ran out of space for him. On teams that I have space I am making a point to snag him while his value is low. In deep leagues I think he is a own for sure.

Old thread, but would you deal Henderson for Ty Montgomery, the Henderson side having Aaron Jones too?

Montgomery is going into the last year of his deal with GB, could be on the move in 2019.
