I know there have been a couple threads discussing his value, but I haven't seen any polls recently - figured a poll would be helpful

So would you say you were a-polled by the lack of polls on Collins up until now?

He’s the type of guy that at this point in time I think it’s fools gold to go and acquire. Owners will want 2017 value, but buyers have no idea what they will get moving forward. He’s got a crowded backfield, no investment by the team, and a deep class is coming up. I feel he will have a role, but I don’t see myself paying what an owner would want. I said 3rd as that would be the only price I’d consider at this time of year.

If his value is an early 2nd I'm buying all day. Yes, there's a deep RB class coming in but '17 has tainted our expectations. There probably aren't going to be Kamaras going in the late 1st, early 2nd every year. What's the bust rate at the 1st/2nd turn...>40%? I'll take Collins for that. He was the highest graded year two RB by PFF. Backfield is muddied but at the price it's worth the risk to me. If he gets the reigns he's got low end RB1 written all over him.

I think Collins owners have blinders on. He did well, but expect to have serious competition brought in. I'd bet on RBBC for week 1.

And I like JAG_yeti - since it makes me thing you are either (a) an actor on a tv series or (b) a naval lawyer.

Back to the topic at hand - I haven't heard any Alex Collins news as of late - but I did read a report that the Ravens owner did consider firing Harbaugh ... and we now know Newsome will retire after 2018. Will that have any impact (ie since his hand picked successor should have more say so from this time forward)?
