For me it really depends on what's out there, where I am picking, and what my goal is for the season. I wanted to lock up a 3 headed monster at RB last year while using some stud WR depth that had risks before last draft. So I traded Alshon Jeffrey + 1.7 + '18 2nd for 1.1 and grabbed Fournette. Then a few days after our rookie draft I traded my 2018 1st thinking it would be late for Tyrod Taylor. That doesn't look so great now. I only trade for picks knowing I'll grab a certain guy who I am fairly sure will be a stud. I don't like moving down unless I get a higher round the next year. And I don't like trading my picks for dart tosses, even though that's what the draft is and now Tyrod may not have a job. The point is things change. I don't have one strategy but I try to base on value and need. If I see a QB who I like in a good situation available in the mid 2nd I may trade up for him but I won't trade for any pick besides 1.1 until that pick is on the clock. I also haven't taken proven production unless it was a blockbuster for Lev Bell because I've had youth.
