Damn... was looking hard at this guy with my 1.06 or 2.02.... I know the 6th would have been early... but I've liked what I've seen from him.

But its a smart move on his part with as many Rbs coming out this year that are highly ranked, if he stays he could move up a bit in the draft

100% not worth the risk of injury or lowering draft stock.

He was pretty much a day 2 lock, might sneak into the first round with a bomb combine with a bit of extra size.

This is an awful decision, no one can convince me otherwise

It is never a good idea for a RB to return to college unless coming off from injury and needing to play another year to give scouts assurance that they can still play.

Unlike every other position in the NFL, the RB has such a short shelf life that age and wear on the body are huge commodities that RB's have to pay attention to. An NFL team may still draft a Senior RB just as high as they would have before. But that's because they commonly expect to get 4 years out of a rookie contract and then move on to another one...if not before that...unless they become an uber-stud in the NFL. Then they give them one more contract and move on. Age and projected value to an NFL team is everything when it comes to that second contract. And RB's need age on their side. It's a mistake for both of those RB's to not enter the NFL draft.

Agree esp happy with the number of carries he will get. Stanford ran him to death this past year and next year will be another heavy load with a ton of carries. Did not look me the decision. I mean dang, he played with pretty significant injuries this past year.

I don't imagine he'll improve on a 2k season.

I thought he was going to be overrated just like CMC was (as a runner) so i'm not particularly bummed about this. You have to think he was told he wouldn't be a day 2 pick and that's why he went back and hope the class isn't as strong next year or something, idk. Otherwise it's idiotic. But the latest drafts have shown that teams will give their 3rd, 4th and 5th round pick RB's a legit shot at starting roles if they are talented. So, even if he wasn't projected to be a 1st or 2nd round pick, he should have still come out because I would be surprised if he fell outside of the 3rd or 4th round.

I'm not a Love believer myself. But, there are enough people who are where I would expect him to be drafted in the first 6 or 7 picks in rookie drafts unless he goes to an abysmal situation.

ya i see no point in missing out on another year collecting millions of dollars, i dont get why these guys go back
