FFPC leagues

Postby hjernazian » Tue Jan 16, 2018 2:12 am

Anyone have any experience with these? and if so, what's your take? I've been looking for a high stakes dynasty league, and can't find many that are within the $500-1000 range. Also, if anyone is currently involved and know of an orphaned team looking for a buyout, please PM me.

I think a lot of us here play FFPC. More leagues will open once we get further into the offseason, you won't have trouble finding one. They also post orphaned teams on the official FFPC forum.

What are you looking to know? If you're worried about payouts or stability I don't think those are an issue.

Rules wise, tricky things to look at that you may not be used to are that their league's are TE premium, small rosters (almost large keeper leagues as much as small dynasty), and they use victory points instead of win/loss. Playoffs also operate in a roto-esque format and draft order decided by a losers bracket.

All in all, very fun leagues. Not quite the hyper active trade leagues I would have expected given the large buy in costs but active enough.
12 Team FFPC TE Premium
QB: Herbert, Brady
RB: Barkley, Mixon, Jav Williams, Pierce, Drake
WR: Jefferson, AJ Brown, Metcalf, Hopkins, Peoples-Jones
TE: Kittle, Goedert

Really the only thing I dislike about FFPC is the roster limitations, as already pointed out. The payouts are decent at 750+ buy-in, which accounts for 85-90% of the prize money, depending on the league. Anything less and you're looking at 75-80%; not nearly as enticing to me, personally. I like the structure, but a lot of it will depend on the other random league-mates that you get stuck with.

Love FPPC, won some good money through them.

Always updated orphan teams can be seen via here: http://myffpc.com/DynastyForSale.aspx

There will always be people posting orphan teams for people to take over and if you are willing to take them on then they are well worth the price.
14 Team .5 PPR Return yards
QB: Luck, Mayfield
RB: Elliot, Mixon, Guice, Ekeler
WR: Diggs, C. Davis, Gordon, Lockett, M. Williams, Godwin, John Brown, Tre'Quan Smith
TE: Gronk, Burton, Goedert
K: Gostkowski
D/ST: Jax, Chiefs

My favorite dynasty site, by far.

Customer service is second to none. Ultra quick response time and very timely, hassle-free payments.
Great format...I don't mind the shallow rosters and love the flexibility that TE premiums bring.
League stability might be the best part. You can build for the future knowing the league will be around for years to come.

DLF I believe is a partner or sponser of FFPC so you probably cannot go wrong playing in the FFPC.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

wonderful. extremely helpful guys, I spent several hours last night getting lost in the website and forum threads regarding it. def something i will be looking into. i don't like the shallow rosters though, but I guess makes waivers that much more valuable. I was in a redraft league for over 10 years that utilized TE premium and I absolutely loved it. I remember one year having a combo of Gates, Gronk and Julius Thomas (when in Denver) and started all 3.
