Agreed. I think 7-10 pts a week was what owners were expecting/hoping for with Kamara before he became The Gawd.

The Gurley stat is a bit misleading. He scored a TD and added 5/56 receiving to that 19/40 line. Henry isn't bailing you out with receptions.
There were tons of people trashing Gurley for his ypc after week 1 least year.
Not disagreeing, but Gurley buoyed his point totals with receiving capabilities, even during the 2016 Fisher debacle. That's not in Henry's game.
I believe the point was that sometimes week 1 is misleading, not that Henry 2018 could become Gurley 2017.

I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Went off the rails a bit
I'm not sure week 1 in Henry's case is misleading though. This is who he is. Will he be 26 yards bad, no. But in a ppr league he shouldn't be anywhere near your lineup until proven otherwise.

Yea but Kamara was 3rd string with zero expectations of leading the backfield. Hos stat line was actually considered far better than expected. Not a fair comp at all
Henry was an awful call away from an 11/88/1 line and he's still going to get RZ carries. Also, keep in mind that the Titans are missing Jack Conklin. If there's anyone in your league jumping off the plank on Henry right now, buy.
Conklin is def a good point. I'm still holding him...just nervously.
Holding nervously as well. If you're Titans not sure how you don't make him centerpiece of offense and run him into the ground using Dion as a highly effective changeup. John Fox would make this guy the RB1. (And go 7-9 but that's not the point.)

Derrick Henry believe it or not is still on pace for more carries this year than last year (and a 3rd straight year of increased carries). Not sure how much consolation that is though.

I think hes a good not great volume runner. He seems so stiff when he runs. And he runs like hes a sky scraper, straight up.
I hate being right all the time.

If this guy is still on your roster you can't evaluate talent. He's terrible people.

Reminds me of the C Mike situation. This backup is going to be so good! Wait until he gets his chance! 3 years later...

Kind of weird to call him terrible after a 5 YPC game against another good run defense.

He's terrible for Fantasy right now, there is no arguing that, but this offense is Rams 2016 bad (like someone upthread called after game 1).

I finally just sold low to the Dion Lewis owner.

Gave-Henry, Ricky Seals Junior
Got-Kyle Rudolph, Chester Rogers

This wasn’t a move I thought I’d be making but when I thought about it.

Graham was in his final year of his contract so I needed a replacement

Rudolph although unexciting with 2 very dynamic WRs soaking up targets is established and locked into solid role on a good offense.

If I had to flex either Henry or Rudolph it’s Rudolph right now coming off multiple 5 catch games.

I also ‘took’ Rudolph from a competitor that has Gronk-Olsen so I won’t be surprised if I play him later in the year and those guys are on the shelf.

Yell at me if you wish lol

Wentz, Mariota, Darnold
James White, Tevin Coleman, Austin Ekler, Aron Jones, Ty Montgomery, Bilal Powell,
Antonio Brown, Landry, Cooks, Enunwa, PRich
TE-Jimmy Graham

Having my WR depth have some uncertainty with Cooks injury, Enunwa injury and zero, PRich injury and Landry slight down turn had me liking Rogers as a depth piece too.

I get the CMike comp but it reminds me more of Lamar Miller. Several different head coaches in Miami limited his touches but it was always the coaches’ fault. Then he finally gets his chance in Houston and sucks. Turns out 3 different NFL head coaches who see him practice and play everyday knew what they were doing. People will blame Henry’s usage on coaching but the coaches are just using him to his capabilities, which isn’t the 3 down RB we drafted him to be. Unfortunate but holding onto that hope forever won’t make it come true.

Tennessee's offensive line ranks 26th in adjusted line yards. So, naturally a north/south RB isn't going to run well behind that line at high volume. Their line had too many injuries to start the season and played some really good run defenses.

I still think Henry is a good buy low. I don't see this as a case of the talent not living up to expectations as much as I do an offense that just has nothing going for them right now.

The RB that Henry sort of reminds me of - not from a talent or profile perspective - but from a production history one - would be Mark Ingram.
