Yep. He looks like a beast of a man. And thats where I think people get caught up believing he will be a top 5 back if given the chance. I traded him for a 1st and Doctson, that 1st ended up 1.02. Someone else mentioned getting Mixon for him. That is also a phenomenal trade.kris_kapsner wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 6:46 pmThese are my thoughts exactly. I traded Henry away at the trade deadline for 1.4 and Dixon. Both things became pieces that led me to getting the 1.1 through additional trading. At this point I'm very happy I made the trade when I did. I thought Henry was good but not great. 1.4 felt like good value for him.

Well shoot, I'll trade him for that. And I'm not even that worried about Lewis.

Re: Derrick Henry
Situationally, it leaves me with Bell, Ingram, and DMurray...which isn't ideal, but I was able to follow up that move to get McKinnon (admittedly a week after i basically gave him away) for 2.01 and Josh Reynolds. Now hopefully Guice/1.02 pans out and I have some decent depth.

Re: Derrick Henry
I think concerns of Lewis taking over as the lead back are getting out of hand. I really don't think he is built for lead back carries. I think Tennessee will be smart with him, limiting his carries and touches.
That said, I do expect him to have a sizeable role and limit Henry's upside. I think the big winner is really Mariota...

Re: Derrick Henry
I’m probably overreacting to week 1 performance but what’s everybody’s opinion of Henry now? I was a big believer and have him on a bunch of teams but I’m starting to give up on him. Anybody who actually saw the game have an opinion?
Re: Derrick Henry
Horrible game for the Titans. Only thing that can be spun as positive was the 60 yard TD run Henry had called back on a phantom holding call. Delanie Walker's facemask was actually being held on the play but the ref saw something else. Who knows how things would have played our had that not been called, but Henry's stat line sure would have looked better
Re: Derrick Henry
Henry is going to be a game flow type player all year like Howard was last year, because he doesnt catch many passes anytime they struggle to run the ball or fall behind he will get fazed out of games. I do expect were going to get a bunch of 20 plus carry games this season too and some long runs mixed in. Solid rb2 but you wouldnt want him as the rb1 on your team.jomaed wrote: ↑Wed Sep 12, 2018 10:19 am Horrible game for the Titans. Re: Derrick Henry
I'm buying wherever I can. Sure, Lewis will take 3rd down possessions and may have games where he outsnaps him, but he has a history of significant injuries and isn't a lead back. Henry can be a lead back and is a monster in the redzone.
I wouldn't give up if I owned him.

Re: Derrick Henry
I think there was a common narrative that Lewis would be the lead guy and that seems true. However, history suggests he is made of glass. I question Henry as a 3 down back but I would not throw in the towel unless you get a great offer.
Re: Derrick Henry
Why? The weather was horrible and he actually broke a nice 60 yard run that got called back that shouldn’t have.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Wed Sep 12, 2018 11:25 am If you hadn't sold Henry already, you've got nobody to blame but yourself.
Like said above I don’t believe Lewis will remain healthy all year so if you didn’t sell and don’t believe in him, that will be the time to sell.

He got a crease, he hit it and off he went. Vintage Henry. That's who he is, a lot of negative runs mixed in with some wow runs with monster power.Rosenbluu wrote: ↑Wed Sep 12, 2018 12:13 pmWhy? Re: Derrick Henry
I would be hesitant to take much away from last weeks game. There were 4 hours of delay sandwiching about 9 minutes of gameplay between the 2nd and 3rd quarter, and it made the whole game funky.
Encouraging point was that Tennesee wanted to feature Henry to start out, and they actually moved the ball very well when Henry was featured the 1st 2 drives (one drive ended in a FG and the other a failed 4th down on the Miami 3).
Discouraging point was that Henry got shelved in catchup mode, and Tennessee went to catch-up mode really fast.
It seems like Henry will be given the opportunity to get hot in games, but with no Conklin for a few more weeks, maybe no Lewan this week, no Walker ROS, and the offense looking really poor before the Walker/Lewan injuries, getting hot may be hard to do for awhile.

Re: Derrick Henry
As a Henry owner, I fear you are right...I held Abdullah from when he was a rookie until August of this year. I eventually had to cut him and missed the boat on trading him prior to last year when his value jumped back up to a 1st. Henry is starting to feel like that to me now. Ugh.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Wed Sep 12, 2018 11:25 am If you hadn't sold Henry already, you've got nobody to blame but yourself.
