Sounds like that Big Ben is changing his mind about retiring and is now thinking of playing up to 3 more seasons. Some reports suggest this is in part because Todd Haley is on the way out in Pittsburgh ...

As a Cincy fan, i could not be happier. I totally respect this tough guy. He could play in a wheelchair. I remember this game 6 years ago against Browns...

How in the hell does Keenum have 2% of the votes. Do people not know he isn't 30 yet or am I missing something???

If you look on Page I of the thread, you'll see that I added Keenum late. Originally he wasnt listed because he wasnt 30, but the fact that he is 30 in about a month AND all the talk about him being in line for a starting job somewhere + ZERO votes for Jay Cutler meant I felt he deserved to be part of the vote.

Also don't look so much at the % because you can vote for as many as you wish. Its the total votes per QB that matters more than the percentage.

For example pretty much everyone that voted seems to have voted for Alex Smith, but his percentage of the total votes cast is less than 30% due to the fact that you can cast multiple ballots rather than just 1.

I know Brady says he's going to play well into his 40's, but I thought his play looked to be slipping in 2017
. I'm not sure the organization will let him keep the reigns that long. Poor play, or injury may force him out before 2020.

Edit: Just clicked "submit" and am surprised at all the Bradford voted. I seriously doubt his knee issues will allow him to continue playing another three seasons.
.... As he wins the MVP.

I voted for Bradford, Hoyer, Manning as backup worthy somewhere. I think Smith and Keenum will be at that starter/backup line for NFL teams, depending on roster needs that year.

I could see Brees and Rivers have extended careers as franchise mascots/cheerleaders/backups, though I'm not certain Rivers would continue being on an NFL roster if he couldn't start.

Fitzpatrick, McCown and Stanton were easy to dismiss. Big Ben is off due to his constant retirement talk.

Brady was the hardest one. I could see his Patriots divorce ending badly, but another team bringing him in, despite accuracy and deep-ball problems. I don't see him being willing to accept a backup job, but a contender a QB away would be a great fit. The tricky part is, would he accept the job if it involved competing for the starter, even if there was as good a chance he wins as someone else.

Alex Smith already had the most votes - but I assume that this trade to Washington may convert some of the fence sitters who were unsure ...

Now that FA is taking effect - rebumping this thread - remember owners can change their votes - would just appreciate an explanation why they added or removed a vote. :)
