Guys I still need to watch are Ateman, Lazard, Korey Robertson, Deontay Burnett, Justin Watson, Darren Carrington, TreQuan Smith, and Jester Weah. I'll probably wait for the combine to watch those guys as I've already watched 19 WRs. Honestly not that excited to watch Ateman, he just seems like another big jump ball guy which this class already has an abundance of.lukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 11:29 amThanks for sharing!Chwf3rd wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 11:24 am My WR ranks right now:

What players are you specifically thinking about? Most of the guys on there had productive years and the other have reasonable excuses:
Ridley - hard to blame him for his stats playing w/ Hurts.
Kirk - had to play with backup QBs essentially the entire year.
Callaway - various off the field incidents kept him off the field.
Then the rest I have valued as late Day 2/early Day 3 players.

in 46 games Cooper has 203 receptions(357 tgt) 2903 yards and 18 TD's so only avg's 68/967/6 in his first 3 years. Some of this year you have to lay at the feet of Carr because Crabs didn't light things up either.James McGhee wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 9:53 amI wouldn't say horrible but their production has yet to meet the potential.
Watkins Career he has 52 games 192 recs(346 tgt) 3052yrd and 25TD's but obviously injuries have hurt him some and BUF/Rex probably hurt him some. Can hardly expect a guy to put up WR1 #'s on 70 targets over 15 games.
Anyway production is never going to match potential when you are comparing to guys getting 30-80 more targets a season. WR production is mostly directly proportional to targets with some hyper efficient outliers and volume outliers.

Not to mention that Cooper is still only like 6 months older than Calvin Ridley. dismissing calloway's mediocre production on off the field issues is like dismissing venus de milo's juggling deficiency on having no balls !
technically true but that is burying the lead a bit ! IF he gets drafted it will be late on saturday afternoon ,it won't shock me to see him be an udfa .
As for the rest of your rankings I am higher on some lower on others but job well done putting them out there for public consumption.

Re: 2018 Rookie WRs Thread
I’m curious why you think he’s explosive? I was expecting this explosive, twitchy WR when I watched him based on his PR ability but didn’t see it at all. Instead I saw a really smooth possession WR type with solid route running but very boring to watch.jaykay22 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 10:39 pm I haven't seen much mentioned about Dante Pettis around here. Daniel Jeremiah is pretty high on him as he had him in his Top 50 players list, and Lance Zierlein gave him a much higher grade than most WR's in this class on NFL.com.
Personally I like him quite a bit from what I've seen! Explosive target who can do damage vertically, who combines a nice pair of hands with what looks like a much more developed route tree than most peers. Not Will Fuller fast, but quick enough going over the top (not too shabby in the underneath and intermediate stuff) and in the return game, speaking of which he is special once the ball is in his hands and he's in the open field (broke DJax's career NCAA punt return for TD record with 9). He's got a bit of a thin frame, but he seems to be able to track and adjust to the football well, and is nice at stacking DB's.
I'm thinking a solid combine should get him a day 2 (round 3?) pick, and if he blows the combine up he may slip into the second round, even.
Thoughts? Anyone else a fan?

Re: 2018 Rookie WRs Thread
I saw some nice acceleration (compared to the rest of the class) and good releases off the LOS and a few great sudden double moves he hit on opposing DB's when watching his tape, all of which made him seem pretty twitchy. I will be the first to say I'm very much a n00b when it comes to watching tape, and maybe I let those lead me to believe he might be more explosive than he is?Chwf3rd wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 10:48 amI’m curious why you think he’s explosive?
